ThermOWeb, MISTI and Picket Fence Studios Collaboration

Hello friends! Welcome back to my blog. This week ThermOWeb, Picket Fence Studios and My Sweet Petunia are gathering together.               * Hallo vrienden! Welkom terug op mijn blog. Deze week werken ThermOWeb, Picket Fence Studios en My Sweet Petunia samen.

As you can see on the picture I made two different cards where the foil gives it the perfect finishing touch. One is making a wreath the other one is made with stamping in repetition.               * Zoals je op de foto kunt zien, heb ik twee verschillende kaarten gemaakt waar de folie de perfecte 'finishing touch' geeft. Op de eerst kaart zie je een krans en de andere is gemaakt door herhaaldelijk te stempelen.

1. Wreath Card               * 1. De Kaart met de Krans

You can do awesome techniques with the Misti Tool. One of them is making a wreath.               *  Je kunt geweldige technieken doen met de Misti Tool. Een van hen is om er een krans mee te maken.

Let me show how this card was made from start to finish:               * Laat me je tonen hoe deze kaart van het begin tot het einde werd gemaakt:

1. First I used the “Misti Tool” and the “Wreath Builder Stencil” to create the perfect wreath. I placed the stencil in the Misti Tool and used Purple Tape to keep it on the same place. You simply position your squared piece of paper straight in to the template. Than you’re going to position your stamp on your paper and pick up in your samp positioning tool (here the Misti). When these steps are made, just turn your paper each time and stamp again (without removing the stamp from his original place).                * 1. Eerst gebruikte ik de "Misti Tool" en de "Wreath Builder Stencil" om de perfecte krans te maken. Ik plaatste het stencil in de Misti Tool en gebruikte Purple Tape om het op dezelfde plaats te houden. 2. The stamps are all from the Picket Fence Studios Little Coral Girl stamp set, but only the crab did need coloring. I colored it with a red water colour marker.               * De stempels zijn allemaal afkomstig van de Picket Fence Studios Little Coral Girl-stempelset, maar alleen de krab had kleur nodig. Ik kleurde deze met een rode waterverfstift.

3. To finish the wreath I attached sequins with the ICraft Mixed Media adhesive around the circular pattern.               * 3. Om de krans af te werken, bevestigde ik pailletten met de ICraft Mixed Media-lijm rond het cirkelvormige patroon.

4. I did only need to finish the card by adding a message and layer paper. In my opinion the the foil really gives the extra wow effect to the flat wreath that was stamped. The Splatter Clear Toner Sheet with the Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet looks so awesome! It’s just perfect for this underwater wreath.               * Ik hoefde de kaart alleen af ​​te maken door een boodschap en papieren laagje toe te voegen. Naar mijn mening geeft de folie echt de extra wow effect aan de erde platte krans die werd gestempeld. 5. The Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet  was used for the text. You can accomplish this by transferring the foil on to the Deco Foil Toner Sheets and die cutting the word.               * 5. De Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet werd gebruikt voor het de tekst. Je krijgt dit effect door de folie over op de Deco Foil Toner Sheets te transformeren en het woord uit te snijden.

6. The ICraft Mixed Media adhesive was perfect to add the word to the shadow cut out of vellum.               * 6. De ICraft Mixed Media-lijm was perfect om het woord te lijmen aan zijn schaduw gesneden uit transparant papier.

2. Repetitive Stamping               * 2. Repititief stempelen

The next technique is also fun and even more simple to create!               * De volgende techniek is ook leuk en nog eenvoudiger dan daarnet!

Below I will explain in a very helpful step by step tutorial how the card is made:               * Hieronder zal ik in een handig stapsgewijze fotocollage uitleggen hoe ik de kaart maakte:

1. Before I start  stamping I mark where the original placement of the rectangular paper is. I do this by the help of Purple Tape. Than I stamp for the first time the word.               * 1. Voordat ik begin met stempelen duidde ik de oorspronkelijke plaats van het rechthoekige papier aan. Ik doe dit met behulp van Purple Tape. Daarna stempelde ik voor het eerst het woord.

2. I keep the sentiment in the exact same place as the first time I stamped it. The only thing I do is taking my paper a little bit down. This ensures when I stamp it again it will be perfectly stamped a bit further. The grit on the Mouse Pad from the Misti Tool is very helpful to see how much space the sentiment (mermazing) needs. That makes it easy to know how much squares you need to bring the paper down to stamp it again (for this card it’s two squares).               * 2. Ik hou vervolgens de stempel op exact dezelfde plaats als de eerste keer dat ik stempelde. Het enige wat ik doe is vervolgens het papier e beetje naar beneden halen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat wanneer ik opnieuw stempel, het iets er boven wordt gestempeld. Het ruitenpatroon op de muismat van de Misti Tool is erg handig om te zien hoeveel ruimte de tekst 'mermazing' nodig heeft. Dat maakt het gemakkelijk om te weten hoeveel vierkanten je nodig hebt om het papier naar beneden te brengen om het opnieuw te stempelen (voor deze kaart zijn het twee vierkanten).

3. I left one space to stamp the same sentiment in a darker colour.               * 3. Ik hield tijdens het stempel één opening om het woord in een donkerdere kleur te stempelen.

4. This card was finished by using the Distressed Lines Toner Sheet and the Deco Foil Silver Transfer Sheet. The panel was placed on top of an alcohol background piece with ICraft Adhesive Tape 1/8 Inch.               * 4. Deze kaart werd afgewerkt met behulp van het Distressed Lines Toner Sheet en de Deco Foil Silver Transfer Sheet. Het paneel werd bovenop en alcohol achtergrond gelijmt met ICraft-plakband 1/8 inch.

5. Again I attached sequins with the ICraft Mixed Media adhesive.               * 5. Opnieuw bevestigde ik pailletten met de ICraft Mixed Media-lijm.

6. The last step was to add the sentiment. Also for this one I used the Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. After it was glued the foiled word on top of the vellum I did cut out the word from White Foam Adhesive to make it pop.               * 6. In laatste stap plaatste ik het woord op de kaart. Ook voor dit woord gbruikte ik de Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet. Nadat het glinsterende woord bovenop het transparant papier was gelijmd, knipte en plakte ik het zelfde woord met White Foam Adhesive.

I love how the foil really spice up your cards. The Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet also makes it possible to use the collars that you exactly need for your card. You can see that the wreath card used more the warmer colors of the foil and this card the colder parts.               * Ik vind het echt geweldig hoe de folie je kaarten echt opfleurt. De Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheet maakt het ook mogelijk om de kleuren te gebruiken die je precies nodig hebt voor je kaart. Je kunt zien dat de kaart met de krans de warmere kleuren van de folie gebruikte en deze kaart eerder de koudere delen.
