Cute Tag Mini Album

This Monday I have something different than a card. Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I wanted to make a nice mini photo album with the new release of Carlijn Design. Of course this can be just as good for a birthday or just to give your mom something sweet.                        * Deze maandag heb ik eens iets anders dan een kaartje. Morgen is het moederdag en ik wilde graag met de nieuwe release van Carlijn Design een leuk mini fotoalbum maken. Natuurlijk kan dit evengoed voor een verjaardag of gewoon om je mama eens in de bloemetjes te zetten.

I used the mini slimline tags as the base for the album.                        * Ik gebruikte de mini slimline tags als basis voor de album.

Next I always used a polaroid with a hot foiled label.                        * Vervolgens gebruikte ik telkens een polaroid met een een hot foiled label.

I enjoyed going back in time and highlighting all the important moments like baptism. Not that I'm still so religious, but it are moments that we have celebrated and of which there are often beautiful pictures. So on each back of the label it says from which moment the photo was.                        * Ik vond het leuk om een keertje terug te gaan in de tijd en alle belangrijke momenten als christen eens in de verf te zetten. Niet dat ik nog zo gelovig ben, maar toch zijn het momenten die we hebben gevierd en waar vaak mooie foto's van zijn. Dus op elke achterkant van de label staat dan ook van welk moment de foto was.

I think my mom will like it! & Now I hope that there will also be some wedding dies, to make the booklet complete.                        * Ik denk alvast dat mijn mama het wel leuk zal vinden. Nu hoop ik dat er ook nog trouwsnijmallen bijkomen, dan is het boekje pas echt compleet. 

   
       

Magic Color Slider with Pictures

Hello everyone!! Today I like to share an other card for welcoming a newborn baby. As you know I like to use pictures for baby cards, so this one is not different.                       * Hallo iedereen!! Vandaag deel ik graag een nieuwe kaart voor het verwelkomen van een pasgeboren baby. Zoals je weet gebruik ik graag foto's voor babykaarten, dus deze is niet anders.

This time I used the Magic Color Slider from Lawn Fawn to make this beautiful card. Instead of an illustration I used photos. If you pull the ribbon another photo will appear, it's a perfect before and after photo. I just added some text to the bottom of the frame and some elements to the sides of the frame. The card also has a sea theme, because these parents are sealing masters of a container ship. Finally, I placed the frame on patterned paper.                       * Deze keer gebruikte ik de Magic Color Slider die van Lawn Fawn om deze mooie kaart te maken. In plaats van een illustratie heb ik foto's gebruikt. Als je trekt aan het lint komt er een andere foto tevoorschijn, het is perfect een voor en na foto. Ik heb gewoon een tekst aan de onderkant van het frame toegevoegd en wat elementen aan de zijkanten van het frame. De kaart heeft verder een zee thema, want deze ouders zijn schippers van een containerschip. Als laatste plaatste ik het frame op patroonpapier.

The most important is to personalize the inside with the name of their little baby.                       * Het belangrijkste is natuurlijk om de binnenkant te personaliseren met de naam van hun kleine baby.

Hello Everyone!! Today I have a card made for Newton's Nook Designs. I like to share with you how fun it is to use pictures on your card. Adding pictures really gives a personal touch to your cards. Did you know it’s super easy with the shaker dies from NND?                       * Dag iedereen!! Vandaag heb ik een kaart gemaakt voor Newton's Nook Designs. Ik deel graag met je hoe leuk het is om foto's op je kaart te gebruiken. Foto's voegen echt een persoonlijk tintje toe aan je kaarten. Wist je dat het super makkelijk is met de shaker dies van NND?

I printed out the picture with Word. If you use the ruler option in Word you can perfectly measure how big your picture will be printed. After printing, I did cut out all elements; the picture (balloon base die), adhesive foam (balloon frame die), transparency (balloon base die), and a colored frame (balloon frame die). First I sticked the foam on top of the picture and added sequins. Afterwards I attached the transparency and frame.                       * Ik heb de foto uitgeprint met Word. Als u de liniaaloptie in Word gebruikt, kan je perfect meten hoe groot je foto wordt afgedrukt. Na het printen heb ik alle elementen uitgesneden; de afbeelding (ballonbasismatrijs), zelfklevend foam (ballonframematrijs), transparant (ballonbasismatrijs) en een gekleurd frame (ballonframematrijs). Eerst plakte ik het foam op de foto en voegde ik pailletten toe. Daarna heb ik de transparant en het frame bevestigd.

 

Once balloon was completed, I added the name of the baby on top of the balloon. I also added a little banner with Hello.                       * Toen de ballon klaar was, voegde ik de naam van de baby bovenop de ballon. Ik heb ook een kleine banner toegevoegd met Hallo.

The last step was to make a background. I simply used white paper and added leaves by using a stencil. By the way I used the parents birth card as inspiration. They had a lot of green colors and leaves on the announcement. I really love how elegant it looks with the picture. Besides that it’s super personal for the parents. I’m sure they will keep it.                       * De laatste stap was het maken van een achtergrondje. Ik gebruikte gewoon wit papier en voegde blaadjes toe met behulp van een stencil. Ik heb trouwens de geboortekaart van de ouders als inspiratie gebruikt. Ze hadden veel groene kleuren en bladeren op de aankondiging. De kaart is enorm elegant met de foto. Daarnaast is het super persoonlijk voor de ouders. Ik weet zeker dat ze het zullen bijhouden.

3 Valentine projects and 3 Different Foil Techniques

 Hello friends! Today I have a fun Valentine’s ensemble for the “Kiss Me” week from ThermOWeb.                       * Hallo creatievelingen! Vandaag heb ik een leuk Valentijnsensemble voor de "Kiss Me"-week van ThermOWeb.

Daar zijn er meer foto's beschikbaar en vind je ook stap voor stap de uitleg over hoe ik alles maakte.

The first technique is to create a foiled pattern or text using Toner Sheets. Despite the fact that you need a laminator, it is still an easy technique.                      * De eerste techniek is een foiled patroon of tekst te maken aan de hand van Toner Sheets. Desondanks dat je een lamineermachien nodig hebt, blijft het een gemakkelijke techniek.

 

The second technique is using the Deco Foil Transfer Gel and a stencil. Just by spreading the gel over the stencil you can get a pretty foiled pattern.                      * De tweede techniek is het gebruik van de Deco Foil Transfer Gel en een sjabloon. Door de gel over het sjabloon te verspreiden, kun je een mooi foiled patroon krijgen.

In addition to regular Toner Sheets, ThermOWeb also has Toner Sheets with illustrations on. They call this Toner Card Fronts. Because of their pattern, they make your project beautiful in no time. This is than of course our third and last technique.                      * Naast gewone Toner Sheets heeft ThermOWeb ook Toner Sheets met illustraties op. Deze noemen ze Toner Card Fronts. Omwille van hun patroon maken ze je project in een mum van tijd prachtig. Dat is dan ook onze derde en laatste techniek.
