Interactive Friday: Special Folded Card

Hello everyone! I’m popping in today to share a new interactive Friday post for Newton’s Nook Design. In this post I will show you how I created card that has two hidden scenes and that build up a little suspense in the sentiments while opening the card.                * Hallo iedereen! Ik kom hier piepen om een  ​​nieuwe interactieve vrijdagpost te delen voor Newton's Nook Design.  First things first, below I will tell you step by step how I created the card base.                * Eerst wil ik jullie hieronder stap voor stap vertellen hoe ik de basis van de kaart heb gemaakt.

1. For this card we’ll be using a square card base. One side you cut off the half of it.                * 1. Voor deze kaart gebruiken we een vierkante kaartbasissen. Aan één kant heb ik de helft afgesneden.

2. The next step is to make three flaps with the same measurements and an extra stroke so you can glue the flap on your card. After cutting the paper I folded the sides with my bone folder.                * 2. In volgende stap maak je drie flappen met dezelfde afmetingen met een extra vouw/lijm strook, zodat je de flap op je kaart kunt lijmen. Na het snijden van het papier vouwde ik de zijkanten met mijn bonefolder

3. Glue down the three extra flaps on the rest of the sides.                * 3. Kleef de drie extra flappen op de rest van de zijkanten vast.

4. Let the fun begin and decorate your flaps. On my card you will see I created three scenes, but of course you can put on every flap something different.                * 4. Laat het plezier beginnen en versier je flappen. Op mijn kaart zie je dat ik drie scènes heb gemaakt, maar je kunt natuurlijk op elke afzonderlijke flap iets anders zetten.

The background was made with distress ink (Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Tumbled Glass), stencils and texture paste. The texture paste gives it thickness and dimension, but not too much. I tried to keep it flat for sending te card later.                * De achtergrond is gemaakt met distress-inkt (Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio en Tumbled Glass), sjablonen en texture paste. De texture paste geeft dikte en dimensie, maar niet te veel. Ik probeerde de kaart zo plat mogelijk te houden om later ze later te kunnen versturen.

As you can see the message builds up.                * Zoals je kunt zien, bouwt de boodschap zich op.

Lia Stampz: Cute Couple Love

Hello everyone!! Do you remember I was a design team member for Lia Stampz (in 2014)? Lia is back with some new items, and she asked if I could make something with these digital stamps. Of course I said yes.                * Hallo iedereen !! Weet je nog dat ik lid was van het ontwerpteam van Lia Stampz (in 2014)? Lia is terug met een paar nieuwe items en ze vroeg of ik iets kon maken met deze digitale stempels. Natuurlijk zei ik meteen ja.

 

I'm using the "Cute Couple Love" stamp set in this blogpost. The fun thing about is that small adjustment in the illustrations are also included in the kit; the boy get a beard and the girl get short hair. I used set with long hair and no beard as you can see below.                * Ik gebruik de "Cute Couple Love" -stempel op deze blogpost. Het leuke is dat kleine aanpassingen in de illustraties ook in de kit zitten; de jongen krijgt een baard en het meisje kort haar. Ik gebruikte set met lang haar en geen baard, zoals je hieronder kunt zien.

 

As some of you may be noticed on instagram, my boyfriend accidently bought "Git Paste" instead of something else. Of course I wanted to still use it. On this card I created the brick wall with the paste.                * Zoals sommigen van jullie misschien op instagram was opgevallen, kocht mijn vriend per ongeluk 'Git Paste' in plaats van iets anders. Natuurlijk wilde ik het nog steeds gebruiken. Op deze kaart heb ik de bakstenen muur met de paste gemaakt.

You can easily mask off the digi for making a background. You just print your digi two times in the same size. One time on your masking paper and one time on your card base.                * Je kunt de digi gemakkelijk maskeren om een ​​achtergrond te maken. Je print je digi simpelweg twee keer in dezelfde grootte af. Eén keer op post it note papier en één keer op uw kaartbasis.

 

I really think this cute couple is adorbs and perfect for a valentine's card for your boyfriend.                * Ik vind dit stel enorm schattig en perfect voor een valentijnskaart voor je vriendje.

NND January Release: Day 1

Here is the "Love Bites" stamps and coordinating die set as well as the "Tumbling Hearts" stencil set. In my opinion these sentiments are super funny and the little elements are adorable! That's why I created a card set with almost all the stamps from the set! These are all made "Frames & Flags" die set from previous release, with a topping made with the "Tumbling Hearts" stencil and 'Texture Paste'.                * Naar mijn mening zijn de tekstjes super grappig en de kleine elementen enorm schattig! Daarom maakte ik een kaarten-set met bijna alle stempels uit de set! Deze zijn allemaal gemaakte "Frames & Flags" snijmal uit vorige release, met een toplaagje gemaakt met het "Tumbling Hearts" stencil en 'Texture Paste'.

All cards got a heart in the middle that reveals the sentiment and their image. Some are made with a white card base and the others on a brown base.                * Alle kaarten kregen een hart in het midden dat de boodschap en de afbeelding onthult. Sommige zijn gemaakt met een witte kaartbasis en de anderen met een bruine basis.

The sequins from top to bottom finish the cards.                * De pailletten van boven naar beneden maken de kaarten af.

 

This set of cards made a pretty ensamble with all the colors from the rainbow. I'm really love how this set turned out. Stencil Fun

Hello there, previous week you saw me showcasing the new Newton's Nook Design products in their release week. Today I like to share a video about how I used all the new stencils on the cards that I made in that release week.                * Hallo daar, vorige week heb je de nieuwe Newton's Nook Design producten gezien in hun releaseweek. As you can see, I gave the pictures a numbering that matches the order in which I show them on the video.
