Today I’d like to share a festive thank you gift and thank you card made for ThermOWeb. * Hallo allemaal, welkom op mijn blog. Ik hoop dat jullie al een fijne kerst achter de rug hebben. Vandaag deel ik graag een feestelijk bedankje en een bedankkaart die ik maakte voor ThermOWeb.
On this time of the year my husband and I have a lot of invitations to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Some of these invites are a little later than their actual holidays. For these invites I like to make thank you gifts and cards that look festive, but not completely scream Christmas. * Rond deze tijd van het jaar hebben mijn man en ik veel uitnodigingen om Kerstmis en Nieuwjaar te vieren. Sommige van deze uitnodigingen zijn iets later dan hun daadwerkelijke feestdagen. Voor deze uitnodigingen wil ik graag cadeaus en bedankkaarten maken die er feestelijk uitzien, maar niet helemaal Kerstmis schreeuwen en dus ook in een ander opzicht gezien kunnen worden.
The first item you can see in this blog post, is this fun treat box in shape of a handbag. Just like my last post I used a bunch of products from the Gina K. Designs line from ThermOWeb. In addition I used some stamps, dies and papers from PhotoPlay Paper. * Het eerste item dat je in dit blogbericht kunt zien, is deze leuke traktatiebox in de vorm van een handtas. Net als mijn laatste bericht gebruikte ik een heleboel producten uit de Gina K. Designs-lijn van ThermOWeb. Daarnaast heb ik enkele stempels, snijmallen en papieren van PhotoPlay Paper gebruikt.
Let me show you how the paper handbag was made… * Ik zal je laten zien hoe de papieren handtas is gemaakt ...
To begin making this paper hand bag I used the Premium Cardstock Luxury White and a die that helps cutting out the shape. It’s sturdy paper and that makes it perfect to use it. * Om te beginnen gebruikte ik het Premium Cardstock Luxury White papier en een snijmal die helpt bij het uitsnijden van de vorm. Het papier is stevig en dat maakt het perfect om het hiervoor te gebruiken.
To decorate the bag I did cut out parts of the designer paper from PhotoPlay Paper and stick it to the bag with the permanent adhesive dot runner. For the handle I used super tape, so it hangs firmly on the bag. * Om de tas te versieren heb ik delen van de PhotoPlay designerpapier uitgesneden en met de 'permanent adhesive dot runner' op de tas geplakt. Voor het handvat gebruikte ik supertape, zodat deze stevig aan de tas hangt.
Later I created the foiled ‘wishes’. You can get that effect by transferring the Gina K. Design ‘Gold Sequins Fancy Foils’ on top of a ‘Deco Foil Toner Sheet’ with the help of a laminator. Then I did cut the word with a die. * Later creëerde ik de foiled ‘wishes’ (=wensen). Je kunt dat effect krijgen door het Gina K. Designs ‘Gold Sequins Fancy Foils’ aan te brengen op het ‘Deco Foil Toner Sheet’ met behulp van een laminator. Vervolgens sneed ik het woord uit.
When the bag was almost made I created a tag. I did stamp ‘thank you’ by
stamping part of a sentiment from the ‘Petals and Wings’ stamp set with
embossing powder. Further, I stamped, inked, and cut the ladybug
illustration from the same stamp set. The spots where made by using the
coordinating stencil and Glitz Glitter Gel. The heart was made with the
‘elements’ die set from the Kringle and Co line from Photoplay. In that
die sheet you also have a printed paper using black toner ink. That ink
is perfect to add more foil! * Toen de tas bijna af was, heb ik
een tag gemaakt. Ik stempelde ‘thank you’ (dank je wel) door een deel van
de ‘Petals and Wings’ stempel te stempelen met embossingpoeder. Verder
heb ik het lieveheersbeestje van dezelfde set gestempeld, bedekt met
inkt en uitgesneden. De stippen werden gemaakt met behulp van de
coördinerende sjabloon en Glitz Glitter Gel. Het hartje is gemaakt met
de ‘elements’ stans set uit de Kringle and Co-lijn van Photoplay. In die
stans set heb je ook een afgedrukt papier waarbij zwarte tonerinkt werd
gebruikt. Die inkt is perfect om nog meer folie toe te voegen!
On the inside I attached a Velcro sticker. This makes opening and closing the handbag very easy. * Aan de binnenkant heb ik een velcrosticker bevestigd. Dit maakt het openen en sluiten van de handtas erg gemakkelijk.
A gift bag is of course not enough. I also love to give a thank you card for the host(ess). * Een cadeauzakje is natuurlijk niet genoeg. Ik geef ook graag een kaartje voor de gastheer/vrouw.
The card was made using the Kringle & Co and Christmas Memories 6×6 paper pad from PhotoPlay. The nice thing is that the patterns of the handbag are in a smaller format in these paper pads. It’s therefore perfect to make a matching card. * De kaart is gemaakt met behulp van de Kringle & Co en Christmas Memories 6×6 papierblok van PhotoPlay. Het leuke is dat de patronen van de handtas in een kleiner formaat voorkomen in deze pads. Het is daarom perfect om een bijpassende kaart te maken.
I did cut out some paper shapes. For one of the shapes I used the ‘Nested Label’ Wafer-Thin Dies. * Ik sneed enkele papier uit met snijmallen. Voor één van de vormen gebruikte ik de ‘Nested Label’ Wafer-Thin Dies.
Next I did stamp and cut some floral pieces with two different red colors. For this I used the ‘Wishing You Joy’ and the ‘Petals and Wings’ stamp and die set from the Gina K. Designs line. The two smaller elements are from the ‘Santa Elements’ set from Photoplay. * Vervolgens sneed ik bloemstukken uit en stempelde ze met twee verschillende rode kleuren. Hiervoor gebruikte ik de ‘Wishing You Joy’ en de ‘Petals and Wings’ stempel en snijmal set uit de Gina K. Designs lijn. De twee kleinere takken zijn van de ‘Santa Elements’ set van Photoplay.
The word ‘thanks’ was created the same way I foiled the ‘wishes’ word from the hand bag. Before I did cut out the word I attached Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive. The foam makes sure the word stands out a little more. * Het woord ‘thanks’ (bedankt) is gemaakt op dezelfde manier dan het woord 'wishes' van de handtas. Voordat ik het woord uitsneed, bevestigde ik Deco Foil White Foam Adhesive op de achtrzijde. De foam zorgt ervoor dat het woord iets meer opvalt.
