Personalized Cicut, Paper and Flock Wedding Gift

Today I have a slightly larger post with a nice card and a matching gift.                       * Vandaag heb ik een iets grotere post met een leuk kaartje en passend cadeautje.

As you probably know, I have a "baby DIY Series" on my blog, in which I give you ideas for cards and gifts for a newborn child. This year I also have many wedding parties on the agenda. Of course, I want to make a similar sequence.                       * Zoals jullie waarschijnlijk weten heb ik op mijn blog een "baby DIY Series", in die serie geef ik jullie ideetjes voor kaartjes en cadeautjes voor een pasgeboren kindje. Dit jaar heb ik ook veel trouwfeesten op de agenda staan. Natuurlijk wil hiervoor een zelfde soort reeks maken.

Today I show you the first post of the wedding series.                       * Vandaag toon ik jullie de eerste post van de trouwreeks.

Jocelijne is married and I couldn't just let that pass. So I made a card with some nice dies from Jocelijne Design. With the same dies I made a cute embroidery hoop with Flock from ThermoWeb.                       * Jocelijne is getrouwd en dat kon ik toch niet zomaar voorbij laten gaan. Ik maakte dus een kaartje met enkele leuke mallen van Jocelijne Design. Met dezelfde mallen maakte ik een schattige borduurring met Flock van ThermOWeb.

With my cricut I did cut out heat transfer, so I could attach their name and date to the hoop.                       * Met mijn cricut sneed ik flex uit, zodat ik hun naam en datum op de borduurring kon bevestigen.

All of that went in the mail to the newlywed couple!                       * Dat alles ging de post op richting het pasgetrouwd koppeltje!

Jocelijne Release - May day 3: Fruity Smiles

Of course I owe you the last new set from Jocelijne Design...                       * Natuurlijk ben ik jullie nog de laatste nieuwe set van Jocelijne Design te goed...

This set includes "Fruity Smiles".                       * Deze set noemt "Fruity Smiles".

The fruits are super fun to combine with so many other sets. Here I combined it with Bacon and the new Coffee Time dies.                       * De fruitjes zijn super leuk te combineren met zo veel andere sets. Zo combineerde ik hem hier met Bacon en de nieuwe Coffee Time snijmallen.

That Coffee Time can of course also become a Tea-time with delicious strawberry tea.                       * Die Coffee Time kan natuurlijk ook een Tea-time worden met lekkere aardbeithee. 

You can make so many fruits with the die set, I'm not done with it yet!                       * Je kan zoveel fruitjes met de snijmal set maken, ik ben er althans nog niet klaar mee!

  

Hakuna Matata

Hi there! Yes, the Patooties XL from Jocelijne Design have arrived again. So today I love nothing more than to share a nice card with a big patootie.                        * Hallo daar! Jawel hoor, de Patooties XL van Jocelijne Design zijn weer binnen. Dus vandaag doe ik niets liever dan een leuk kaartje met een grote petootie te delen.

I made the lion (see the work document to see all the figures) and I used a little bit of Glitz Glitter Gel in the background. I used different dies for the bow tie and paw. He is ready to cheer everyone on.                        * Ik maakte de leeuw (bekijk de werkbeschrijving om alle figuurtjes te zien) en gebruikte een beetje Glitz Glitter Gel op de achtergrond. Ik gebruikte andere snijmallen voor het strikje en de poot. Hij is klaar om iedereen toe te juichen.

So Excited About the new Design Team; Jocelijne!!!

Ik ben zo trots om aan te kondigen dat ik ben uitgenodigd om het ontwerpteam van Jocelijne te komen versterken. Jocelijne is een Nederlands bedrijf dat geweldige & schattige stempels en snijmallen heeft. Here I'm sharing my first card that I made for them...                         * Hier deel ik mijn eerste kaart die ik voor hen heb gemaakt...

1. First I did cut out all items needed to make the duck and bunny. For this I used different materials; flock, foil and enamel!                         * 1. Allereerst sneed ik alle items uit die nodig zijn om de eend en het konijn te maken. Hiervoor heb ik verschillende materialen gebruikt; flock, foil en emamel!

2. The next step was to add the message on the card. I did that by transferring the foil on transfer paper. Afterwards I could cut  word "hey".                         * 2. Bij de volgende stap kleefde ik het bericht op de kaart. Dat deed ik door de foil over te brengen op transferpapier. Daarna kon ik het gestanste woord "hey" uitsnijden.

3. As last step I created the background with differend dies and distress ink.                         * 3. Als laatste stap heb ik de achtergrond gemaakt met verschillende snijmallen en distress inkt.

Two Tips That Will Make Your Card Look Fabulous

 Once a month on Friday I have a blog post for Newton's Nook Design. This Friday it's no difference.                   * Één keer in de maand op vrijdag heb ik voor Newton's Nook Design een blogpost klaarstaan. Deze vrijdag is dit niet anders.

In this post I would like to give you some nice tips to give your card that little extra.                   * In deze post wil ik jullie graag enkele leuke tips geven om je kaartje dat extraatje te geven.

First I inked a rectangular piece with Distress Ink (you will see the colors on the picture slighty differ with the card, because I made a new background for it). To add Neon Flock on top, you spray the back of your stencil with Pixie Spray or use Purple Tape to hold your stencil in place. Lay your stencil over the background and spread the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco on the background. Let the piece dry. When it’s dry you place the flock (with the flock side down) on the background and push it true your laminator. It looks fun as it it, but it’s even more awesome when you stamp on the flock!                   * Eerst heb ik een rechthoekig papiertje met Distress Ink geinkt (je zult zien dat de kleuren van de foto enigszins verschillen van de kaart, omdat ik er een nieuwe achtergrond voor heb gemaakt). Om de Neon Flock er bovenop toe te voegen, spray je de achterkant van je sjabloon in met Pixie Spray of gebruik je Purple Tape om je sjabloon op zijn plaats te houden. Leg je sjabloon over de achtergrond en smeer de Deco Foil Transfer Gel Blanco op de achtergrond. Laat het vervolgens drogen. Als het droog is, plaats je de Flock (met de zachte kant naar beneden) op de achtergrond en duw hem door je lamineermachine. Het ziet er leuk uit, maar het is nog leuker als je op de Flock stempelt!

Then I colored in all the elements and cut out the hills. This brings us to the 2nd tip. The glasses of the Llama are made by stamping a velume piece with black ink and go over it with irredecent embossing powder. Doesn't he look awesome with his glasses?!                    * Daarna heb ik alle elementen ingekleurd en de heuvels uitgesneden. Dit brengt ons bij de 2e tip. De glazen van de Llama zijn gemaakt door zwarte inkt te stempelen op transparant papier en eroverheen te gaan met irridescent embossingpoeder. Ziet hij er niet geweldig uit met zijn bril?!
