Wedding Card

Hello! Here I am again today with a project using the Els Brigé stamps and dies ("Aquarel Flamingo" & "’t Is Je Verjaardag"). I created a little step by step photo tutorial how I start making this card:            * Hallo! Hier ben ik weer vandaag met een projectje met enkele Els Brigé stempels en snijmallen ("Aquarel Flamingo" & "’t Is Je Verjaardag"). Ik maakte een foto-stappenplan hoe ik dit kaartje maakte:

1. A lot of the times I think ahead when I'm making cards. After I figured out what I want to do I put the dies and stamps on top of each other to see how that looks.            * 1. meestal denk ik op voorhand hoe ik mijn kaartje ga maken. Nadat ik het heb bedacht wat ik wil doen, plaats ik de snijmallen en stempels op elkaar om te zien hoe dat eruit ziet.
2. When I'm happy with the idea it's time to die cut and stamp all the things I need and think about the extras. I knew I would love to use some pink inks for my flamingo and use a stencil with leave motive.            * 2. Wanneer ik blij ben met mijn idee is het tijd om alles uit te snijden en aan de extra's te denken. Zo wilde ik de flamingo's roze wilde stempelen en een sjabloon wilde gebruiken.
3. On most of my cards I end up using distress inks that match with the items. The pinks are just perfect the pink ink from the flamingos.            * 3. De meeste van mijn kaarten krijgen ook een achtergrondje met distress inkt, deze kon ik hier dus ook niet missen. De roze kleuren pasten weer perfect bij mijn flamingo's.

When I tried to glue everything, I thought the bow would give the card a pretty thouch. With the bow the card was little too pink, that's why I decided to stamp the word 'Gefeliceteerd' (= Congratulations in Dutch) in black and use gold sequins.            * Toen ik alles wilde lijmen wilde ik ook nog dat strikje erop. Omdat dat veel roos was besloot ik dan maar het woord 'Gefeliciteerd' in het zwart te stempelen en gouden pailletten te gebruiken.

 

Now you see the idea somethimes deviates from the final result hihi....            * Zo zie je maar dat idee vaak nog afwijkt van het uiteindelijke resultaat hihi...
