Everything You Need To Have a Fun Movie Night

Here I'm again with an other project for Newton's Nook Design. Do you miss going to the movies? Well in Belgium it's raining for a long time now and the weather is too cold to take a walk. Having a movie night at home can be fun too!                         * Hier ben ik opnieuw met een projectje gemaakt voor Newton's Nook Design. Mis je het om naar de film te gaan? In België regent het al heel lang en het weer is te koud om een wandeling te maken. Een filmavond thuis kan dan zo leuk zijn! 

You can always do a movie night, but if you send an invitation and use pimped popcorn boxes, the night is just a little bit more fun. Below you can see a step by step a picture tutorial.                         * Een film avond kan je altijd doen, maar als je een uitnodiging stuurt en gepimpte popcorn dozen gebruikt is die avond toch net iets extra leuk. Hieronder ziet u stap voor stap een foto tutorial.

1. The illustrations are coloured with Zig Clear Color Brush Markers. These are water based markers.                         * 1. De illustraties zijn gekleurd met Zig Clear Color Brush Markers. Dit zijn op water gebaseerde markers.

Orange cats/Oranje poezen: No.052 Bright Yellow, No.070 Orange, No.72 Beige and No.222 Pink Flamingo 

Brown cat/Bruine poes: No.064 Oatmeal No.068 Deep Brown and No.222 Pink Flamingo

Seats/Stoelen: No.022 Carmine Red and No.095 Dark Grey

Glasses/Brillen: No.036 Light Blue, No.022 Carmine Red and No.095 Dark Grey

Food/Eten: No260 Deep Red, No.049 Green Shadow, No067 Mustard, No050 Yellow, No.036 Light
 Blue and No.092 Blue Gray

2. Then I made the backgrounds. I did cut out a square and heart shape. Next I used the popcorn stencil with Antique Linnen Distress Ink. Afterwards I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink; this gives it a light burned look (yummy). As last step I sprinkled some gold on top. The same inks where used on the popcorn shapes.                         * 2. Daarna heb ik de achtergronden gemaakt. Ik sneed eerst een vierkante en hartvorm uit. Vervolgens heb ik de popcorn-stencil gebruikt met Antique Linnen Distress Ink. Daarna heb ik de randen ingekleurd met Vintage Photo Distress inkt; dit geeft het een licht gebakken look (hmmm). Als laatste stap heb ik goud over het papier gesprenkeld. Dezelfde inkt werden gebruikt voor de popcornvormen.

3. As last step I did cut out some clored paper. The colors I used where picked with the image that I had from a popcorn box; red, white and yellow.                         * 3. Als laatste stap heb ik gekleurd papier uitgesneden. De kleuren die ik heb gebruikt zijn gekozen aan de hand van het beeld dat ik had van een popcorndoos; rood, wit en geel.

The card was placed at the door from the bathroom after my husband had a relaxing bath.                         * Het kaartje zette ik voor de badkamer deur nadat mijn man een ontspannend bad genoot. 

On the inside he could see the real invitation.                         * Aan de binnenzijde kon hij de echte uitnodiging zien.

Also the popcorn box got a new look.                         * Ook de popcorn kreeg een nieuwe look.
