Focus On The Background

Hello everyone!! This week I wrote my first blog post on the Colourstock Blog. From now on the Copic Marker team writes their messages on there. Today I would like to zoom in on how you can  tiles in perspective and how to give a pattern on your wall.                  * Hallo iedereen!!

STEP 1: First you draw a horizontal line which best represents the dividing line between the floor and the wall. For this I used the Copic Gasenfude (Nylon Brush). Actually it's meant for calligraphy, but it also works perfectly for this. In addition, you are also immediately sure your Copic Marker points does not absorb the collor and won't be dirty. After this you put a pencil point at the center of the top edge of your paper. At the bottom you put dots every 2 centimeters.

STEP 2: Then you always connect the dots with the lower dot on top, but you stop drawing to your horizontal line and objects. Then you draw some horizontal lines. Make sure you always draw wider horizontal lines. Only if you care a realistic tile floor.

STEP 3: The most fun part is to color your scene. For the tiles I used following Copic Markers: C3, C1, C0 and 100, BV29, C7. For those who like to know what colors I used for the rest of my drawing I'd sum it up: Brown: E47, E37, E35, E33, E31 | Green: G17, G05, YG 06 | Red R59, R29, R27, R05, R22 | Yellow: YR16, Y15, Y08, Y06 | Gray: W5, W3, W1, W0 and C5, C3, C1, C0                  * STAP 3: Het leukste deel is om je scene in te kleuren. Voor de tegels gebruikte ik volgende Copic Markers: C3, C1, C0  en 100, BV29, C7. Voor diegene die graag weten welke kleuren ik gebuikte voor de rest van mijn tekening som ik dit graag op: Bruin: E47, E37, E35, E33, E31 | Groen: G17, G05, YG 06 | Rood R59, R29, R27, R05, R22 | Geel: YR16, Y15, Y08, Y06 | Grijs: W5, W3, W1, W0  en C5, C3, C1, C0

STEP 4: If the drawing is almost finished you draw shadow on the background (here R20, RV10 and RV000). For the last step I used a template to create a motif in the background; it seems wallpaper!

The card looks like this at the end:                  * Zo ziet het kaartje er dan uiteindelijk uit:

Hopefully this was inspiring. See you next weeks with A LOT BLOGPOSTS!
