Farm Themed Baby Card

Hi friends! Happy Friday! The weekend is arround the cornder, so let me inspire you with a card made for Newton's Nook Designs.                         * Dag creatievelingen! Fijne vrijdag! Het weekend staat voor de deur, dus laat me je inspireren met een kaart gemaakt voor Newton's Nook Designs.

 

1. With Distress Ink and the Gingham stencil I made the base of the card.                        * 1. Door middel van Distress Ink en het Gingham sjabloon maakte ik de kaartbasis.

2. I created a scene in the bigest frame from die "Circle Frame" die. I started with the grass and the hill. This was created with the "Landborder" dies and I colored these border with Distress Ink. For the sandy hill I also sprinkled brown, white and water splatters on top of the Distress Ink. The clouds where created with the "Cloudy Sky" stencil and white Glitz Glitter Gel from ThermOWeb.                        * 2. De scène werd gemaakt in de grootste cirkel van de "Circle Frame" stanzen. Ik begon met het gras en de heuvel. Dit is gemaakt met de "Landborder" snijmallen en Distress Ink. Voor de zandheuvel heb ik  ook bruine, witte en waterspatten bovenop de Distress ink gesprenkeld. De wolken zijn gemaakt met het Cloudy Sky-sjabloon en de witte Glitz Glitter Gel van ThermOWeb.

3. The last step was to color the images with Copic Markers.                        * 3. De laatste tip was om de afbeeldingen in te kleuren met Copic Markers.

NND Release: February 2021 - Baa Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies

Hi all! We're halfway until the Newton's Nook Design release goes live. Today we're showcasing the "Baa" stamp set and coordinating dies.                        * Dag Allemaal! We zijn halverwege tot de release van Newton's Nook Design live gaat. Vandaag presenteren we de "Baa" -stempelset en coördinerende stempels.

 

This stamp set is a follow up on all fun farm themed products that where revealed earlier. In the online shop you can check them out in the Farm Category!                        * Deze stempelset is een vervolg op alle leuke producten met een boerderijthema die we eerder onthulden. In de online winkel kun je ze bekijken in de boerderijcategorie!

Not only are the illustrations cute, but the text stamps also fit well together. You can combine different texts together, perfect for an interactive card,...                        * De illustraties zijn niet alleen schattig, maar ook de tekst stempels passen goed samen. Je kan verschillende teksjes samen kombineren, perfect voor een interactief kaartje,...

I also made a tag; ideal for delivering a matching package.                        * Daarnaast maakte ik ook een tag; ideaal om een passend pakje te kunnen afgeven.

I'm even thinking about using the illustrations for baby projects.                        * Ik denk er zelfs aan om de illustraties te gebruiken voor baby projectjes.

Happy Birthday You Old Goat

Sometimes you see a stamp set and an idea pops into your head. That's what happened here. When I got the new "Neigh" and "Bleat" stamp set, I did need to create something with all farm sets I own from Newton's Nook Designs! Last week I finally had the time to do that.                  * Soms zie je een  stempel set en komt er meteen een idee in je op. Dat is wat hier is gebeurd. Toen ik de nieuwe stempelset "Neigh" en "Bleat" kreeg, moest ik iets maken met alle boerderijsets die ik bezit van Newton's Nook Designs! Vorige week had ik daar eindelijk de tijd voor.

Today I would like to show you how to make a cardbase yourself.                  * Vandaag wil ik je graag tonen hoe je zelf ook een kaartbase maakt.

• Step 1: Fold your cardstock in two.                  * Stap 1: Vouw je papier in tweeën.
• Step 2: You cut out your panel with the same die you used for your cardfront. Pay attention you do not cut all the way up to your fold. This makes it possible to have a shaped card.                  * Stap 2: Snij je paneel uit met dezelfde snijmal die je gebruikte voor je kaartfront. Let op dat je niet helemaal tot aan je vouwlijn snijdt. Dit maakt het mogelijk om er een kaart in eender welke vorm te snijden.
• Step 3: Glue your card frond on top of your folded card base. They match perfectly because you used the same die for it.                  * Stap 3: Lijm je kaartfront bovenop je gevouwen kaart. Ze passen perfect bij elkaar omdat je er dezelfde dobbelsteen voor hebt gebruikt.

If I had more space I would have even added the pigs, chickens and tractors, but that might be for next time!                  * Als ik meer plaats had zou ik er zelfs nog de varkentjes, kippen en de traktors erbij hebben gedaan, maar dat is misschien voor volgende keer!

If you’re looking to create a fun shaped card with your dies, this project might be something to try!                  * Als je met je snijmallen een leuke kaart wilt maken, is dit project misschien iets om te proberen!

          

NND Release: June 2020 - Neigh set

Are you ready for another new reveal day from the Newton's Nook Design June release? Today we're showcasing the "Neigh" set.                  * Ben je klaar voor een nieuwe onthulling voor de Newton's Nook Design juni-release? Vandaag presenteren we de "Neigh" set.

The "Neigh" set consists of a stamp set and coordinating die set.                  * De "Neigh" set bestaat uit een stempel set en coordinerende snijmal.

Something I didn't show on Monday was the 'Slimline Frames & Windows'. Of course I also wanted to use this slimline die set once during the release. So that's what I did...                  * Iets wat ik maandag niet liet zien, was de 'Slimline Frames & Windows'. Natuurlijk wilde ik deze slimline stans set ook een keertje gebruiken tijdens de release. Dus zo gezegd zo gedaan...

Instead of using the slimline dies to make a shaker card, I made a scene in the frames. That is why I colored the horses with my Copic Markers and the background with Distress ink..                  * In plaats van de slimline snijmallen te gebruiken om een shaker kaartje te maken, maakte ik een scene in de vormen. Daarom kleurde ik de paardjes in met mijn Copic Markers en de achtergrond met Distress ink.
