NND Release: October 2021 - Prehistoric Christmas, Christmas Pheasant & Heartfelt Holidays stamps and dies

We're already at the last day of the Newton's Nook Designs release. Don't be to sad, because we have still a lot to cover...                         * We zijn al op de laatste dag van de release van Newton's Nook Designs. Wees niet te verdrietig, want we hebben nog veel te bespreken...

The first item is this really fun "Prehistoric Christmas" Stamp set. As you can see above I created a tag with the new pattern papers. I really love the playfull dino's. I just picked the bigest one and colored it with Colour Pencils. Next week I will show more with the rest of these images!                         * Het eerste item is deze hele leuke "Prehistoric Christmas" stempelset. Zoals je hierboven kunt zien heb ik een tag gemaakt met het nieuwe patroonpapier. Ik hou echt van de speelse dino's. Ik heb de grootste gekozen en ingekleurd met kleurpotloden. Volgende week zal ik meer laten zien met de rest van deze illustraties!

We have also a very fun "Christmas Pheasant" stamp set.                         * We hebben ook een hele leuke"Christmas Pheasant" stempelset.

Just as above I colored it with color pencils and created a gift tag.                         * Net zoals hierboven heb ik het ingekleurd met kleurpotloden en een cadeaulabel gemaakt.

The very last item is the pretty "Heartfel Holidays" stamp set.                         * Het allerlaatste item is de mooie stempelset "Heartfel Holidays".

As you know it goes so well together with the Heart Frames and Banner Trio die set.                         * Zoals je weet gaat het zo goed samen met de Heart Frames en Banner Trio stansset.

I colored the image in blue and red, I think these colors are so pretty together. I love the all little drawings, it's just a very elegant stamp set.                         * Ik heb de afbeelding in blauw en rood gekleurd, ik vind deze kleuren zo mooi bij elkaar. Ik hou van alle kleine tekeningen, het is gewoon een heel elegante stempelset.

NND Release: Januay 2021 - Heartfelt Love, Heartfelt Roses & Heart Frames

Yay, it's time to check out the first Newton's Nook Design release of year. Since Valentine is arround the corner, you can imagine a lot of lovely projects will be shown. So get ready to enjoy four days of sneak peeks!                      * Jippie, het is tijd om de eerste Newton's Nook Design-release van het jaar te bekijken. Nu dat het bijna Valentijn is, kan je je best inbeelden dat er heel wat liefdes projectjes op jullie staan te wachten. Bereid je dus voor op vier dagen lang sneak peeks!

We start the release with already A LOT of fun stuff.... First we're showing this lovely "Heartfelt Love" stamp set with the "Heart Frames" dies. The excisting "Banner Trio" die set is also perfect to place your sentiments.                      * We beginnen de release met al heel VEEL leuke dingen .... Eerst tonen we jullie deze mooie "Heartfelt Love" stempel set met de "Heart Frames" snijmallen. De bestaande "Banner Trio" die set is ook perfect om de tekst in te plaatsen.

There is nothing better than being able to hand over a card with many hearts on it onValentine. Today used my color pencils (Derwent Coloursoft Pencils) to color the images. On this card I used:                      * Er is niets beter dan een kaartje te kunnen afgeven met vele hartjes erop met Valentijn. Vandaag gebruikte mijn kleurpotloden (Derwent Coloursoft Pencils) om de afbeeldingen in te kleuren. Op deze kaart gebruikte ik: 

Pink/Rose: Bright Pink C200, Blush Pink C180, Pink C190, Soft Pink C170

Red/Rood: Deep Red C130, Red C120, Scarlet C110, Rose C100

Bordeaux/Bordeaux: Loganberry C160, Cranberry C150

Grey/Grijs: Dove Grey C670, White Grey C710, White C720

I also have another card to present to you. This card shows one of the text stamps again, but also something that will be in the sportlight tomorrow,...                       * Ik heb ook nog een ander kaartje om aan jullie te laten zien. Deze kaart toont de opnieuw één van de tekst stempels, maar ook iets dat morgen in de sportlight staat,...

The biggest hearts where applied with Glitz Glitter Gel from ThermOWeb. For this I used the colors: Bubblegum, Lovely Lavendar, Wild Lilac.                      * De grootste hartjes zijn aangebracht met Glitz Glitter Gel van ThermOWeb. Hiervoor gebruikte ik de kleuren: Bubblegum, Lovely Lavendar, Wild Lilac.

The second set we put in the picture today is "Heartfelt Roses". Also this stamp set fits perfectly in the new "Heart Frames" die set.                      * De tweede set die we vandaag in de picture zetten is "Heartfelt Roses". Ook deze tempel set past in de nieuwe "Heart Frames" die set.

In my opinion, this set is just as suitable for a birthday, wedding or a thank you card next valentine's Day.                      * Deze set is naar mijn mening naast een echte valentijdsset even passend voor een verjaardag, trouw of een bedanking.

Here I also colored the illustrations with the Derwent Coloursoft Pencils.                      * Ook hier kleurde ik de illustraties met de Derwent Coloursoft Pencils.

NND October Release: Day 3

Welcome back to my blog, I’m so excited to show you the reveal of day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Design release.                     * Welkom terug op mijn blog, ik ben verheugd om jullie de onthullingen van dag 3 van de Newton's Nook Design release te laten zien.

First we have ‘Holiday Fringe’ stamp set. This set is perfectly sized to fit with the scallop edged frame from the Frames Squared Die Set. It’s perfect for creating square cards or layering a square onto any card.                     * Eerst hebben we de ‘Holiday Fringe’ stempelset. Deze set is perfect op maat gemaakt om te passen in de geschulpte frame van de Frames Squared Die Set. Het is dus ideaal voor vierkante kaarten of het plaatsen van een vierkant op eender welke kaart.

I did cut out the scalloped square out of black paper and stamp the illustration with gold embossing powder. These large square stamps are prefect to enjoy coloring and that’s what I did with the Derwent Coloursoft color pencils.                     * Allereerst sneed ik dus het geschulpte vierkante frame uit zwart papier en stempelde ik de afbeelding met goud embossingpoeder. Deze grote vierkante stempels zijn leuk om in te kleuren, dus dat is ookwat ik deed met de Derwent Coloursoft kleurenpotloden.

Later I did cut out the biggest square frame from green paper and dry embossed it.                     * Later heb ik het grootste vierkante frame uit groen papier gesneden en zette er een reliëf op.

We also have the “Main Street Christmas” stamps and coordinating dies.                     * We hebben ook de 'Main Street Christmas'-stempels en coördinerende snijmallen.

I love this stamp set a lot! As you can see I creaty a fairly easy card in the shape of the houses.
For this card I also used my color pencils.                     * Ik ben dol op deze stempelset! Zoals je kan zien, maak ik een vrij simpele kaart in de vorm van de huizen. Voor deze kaart heb ik ook mijn kleurpotloden gebruikt.

On the inside you can find the message.                     * Aan de binnenkant kun je de boodschap terug vinden.

NND: August Release Day 2

If yesterday was for the coffee lovers, then today is for the gardeners. Welcome to the second release day from Newton’s Nook Design!                     * Als gisteren vooral voor de koffieliefhebbers was, dan is het vandaag eerder iets voor de tuiniers onder ons. Welkom op de tweede releasedag van Newton's Nook Design!

 

Below you can see the Fall Fringe stamp set. This set will fit perfect in the square stamp set series. These sets all have illustrations peeking in from each edge with an opening in the middle. They are perfectly sized to fit with the scallop edged frame on the Frames Squared Die Set.                     * Hieronder zie je de Fall Fringe-stempelset. Deze set past perfect in de reeks met vierkante stempelsets. Deze sets hebben allemaal illustraties die vanuit de randen naar getekend zijn met een opening in het midden. Ze zijn perfect aangepast voor het frame met geschulpte randen van de Frames Squared Die Set.

 

I really enjoy coloring these stamp sets. The card that I made here is colored with the “Derwent Coloursoft” color pencils. Further I stamped the sentiment with embossing powder. The last step is to make square cards with them using the Frames Squared Die Set.                     * Ik geniet ervan om deze stempels set in te kleuren. De kaart die ik hier heb gemaakt, is gekleurd met de "Derwent Coloursoft" kleurpotloden. Verder stempelde ik de tekst met embossing poeder. De laatste stap is dan om hiermee een vierkante kaarten te maken met behulp van de Frames Squared Die Set.

NND July Release: Day 1

Hello crafty friends, this week is super special. Newton's Nook Designs hit a milestone; they are 6 years old and we celebrate it with a big release! Let's get started!                * Hallo vrienden, deze week is super speciaal. Newton's Nook Designs heeft een mijlpaal bereikt; ze zijn 6 jaar oud en we vieren het met een grote release! Laten we beginnen!

The first item is this Pineapple a duo of stencils:                * Het eerste item is deze Pineapple, een duo van stencils:

In my opinion the stencil leaves such a pretty pattern you can use it on it's own.                * Naar mijn mening laat desjabloon zo'n mooi patroon achter dat je het op zichzelf kunt gebruiken.

This layered stencil design makes creating patterned paper simple. Let me explain how easy it is:                * Dit gelaagde stencilontwerp maakt het maken van patronen eenvoudig. Laat me uitleggen hoe gemakkelijk het is:

1. Use one stencil for the first layer. I applied "Sweet Mango - Glitz Glitter Gel" from ThermOWeb by using the stencil.                * 1. Gebruik een stencil voor de eerste laag. Ik heb "Sweet Mango - Glitz Glitter Gel" van ThermOWeb aangebracht met behulp van de stencil.

2. Then I did add the second layer with a different color ("Grass Green - Glitz Glitter Gel"). It's that easy to achieve the Pineapple pattern. Both stencils also include etching of the opposite layer so they are easy to line up.                * 2. Vervolgens heb ik de tweede laag toegevoegd met een andere kleur ("Grass Green - Glitz Glitter Gel"). Het is zo eenvoudig om het Pineapple-patroon bekomen. Beide stencils bevatten ook groeven van de tegenoverliggende laag, zodat heel gemakkelijk kan zien hoe je ze kan aanbringen.

3. As last step I embossed some birthday sentiments on a flag from the "Frames and Flags - die set".                * 3. Als laatste stap heb ik een aantal verjaardagsteksten op een vlag uit de "Frames en Flags - dies set" embossed.

The Pineapple stencil duo is not on its own. The second item we reveal is this Hibiscus Stencil Set:                * Het stencilduo van Pineapple is niet alleen. Het tweede item dat we onthullen is deze Hibiscus-stencilset:

I created a similar card with the same technique as above.                * Ik heb dezelfde kaart gemaakt met dezelfde techniek als op de eerste kaart.

I think the Glitz Glitter Gel and the stencils work so well together! Together it gives a big WOW effect.                * Ik vind dat de Glitz Glitter Gel en de stencils zo goed samenwerken! Samen geeft het een groot WOW-effect.

Of course we also have an awesome stamp and coordinating die set to show today; Corgi Beach.                * Natuurlijk hebben we ook een geweldige stempel en coördinerende die set om te onthullen; Corgi Beach.

The "Bark less beach more" sentiment cracked me up, it's so funny! I think it's perfect to put a smile on someone's face.                * De teskt "Bark less beach more" heeft me echt aan het lachen gebracht, het is zo grappig! Ik denk dat het perfect is om een glimlach op iemands gezicht te toveren.

I colored the background with Oxide inks and the illustrations with Inktence Color Pencils. These illustrations are so adorable!                * Ik kleurde de achtergrond met Oxide-inks en de illustraties met Inktence Color Pencils. Deze illustraties zijn zo schattig!
