Carlijn Design Card Sketch Challenge 01-2023

It's Monday and you should know what that means; a blog post for Carlijn Design.                        * Het is maandag en ondertussen zouden jullie moeten weten wat dat te betekenen heeft; een blog post voor Carlijn Design.

Today I show you a card inspired by the 'Sketch Challenge' that can be found in the Facebook group.                        * Vandaag toon ik jullie een kaartje geïnspireerd op de 'Sketch Challenge' terug te vinden in de Facebookgroep. 

Can you see the sketch in my card? I did go creative with it, I still think it's successful.                        * Kunnen jullie de schets terugvinden in mijn kaartje? Ook al ging ik er creatief mee aan de slag, ik vind het geslaagd. 

If you want to participate, you can do so until May 14th. I'm curious what you do with it.                        * Als je wil mee doen, kan dat nog tot en met 14 mei. Ik ben alvast benieuwd wat jullie ermee maken.

      

Newton’s Nook STAMPtember® 2020 Exclusive Collaboration!

 Hello creative friends! I'm so excited to reveal the Stamptember set from Newton's Nook Designs.                    * Hallo creatieve vrienden! Ik ben zo blij om de Stamptember set te van Newton's Nook Designs te onthullen.

Each year in September Simon Says Stamp has fun collaborations with stamp companies. They have exclusive stamp during the whole month. Newton's Nook Designs is already for a few years part of the collaboration and this year it’s no difference.                      * Elk jaar in september heeft Simon Says Stamp leuke samenwerkingen met verschillende stempelbedrijven. Newton's Nook Designs neemt al enkele jaren deel aan de samenwerking en dit jaar is niet anders.

This year it's a fun stamp set where dogs and cats come out of pockets with fitting sentiments. How cute is that?                      * Dit jaar is het een stempel set waarbij hondjes en poezen uit broekzakken komen met passende berichtjes. Echt schattig! 

For both card I used Stencil Duo's. For that I used Distress ink and Metallix Gel from ThermOWeb.                       * Voor beide sets gebruikte ik de passende stencil duo's. Hiervoor gebruikte ik Distress Inkt en Metallix Gel van ThermOWeb.

At the end the cards where easily created by using the same card layout.                      * Uiteindelijk kwamen de kaartjes snel tot stand door dezelfde lay-out te gebruiken.

The sets are sold out very quickly this year, hopefully you could get one if you really wanted a set and otherwise I hope you enjoyed the inspiration.                      * De sets zijn snel de deur uit dit jaar, hopelijk kon jij nog eentje strikken als je er echt één wilde hebben en anders hoop ik dat je genoot van de inspiratie.

     

Glittery Under the Sea Cards

This week we have an Under The Sea Inspiration Week at ThermOWeb. Of course I participate in this. Today I would like to share a card made with Glitter Glitz Gel and Electro Pop Enamel in the theme of the sea.                     * Deze week hebben wij een Under The Sea Inspiration Week bij ThermOWeb. Natuurlijk doe ik hier aan mee. Vandaag deel ik graag een kaart gemaakt met Glitter Glitz Gel en Electro Pop Enamel in thema van de zee.

As you can see in the picture above I thought it would be fun to play with the Glitz Glitter Gels and mix them together for a unique color effect.                     * Zoals je op de foto hierboven kunt zien, dacht ik dat het leuk zou zijn om met de Glitz Glitter Gels te spelen en ze door elkaar te mixen voor een uniek kleureffect.

I mixed the Bubblegum, Lovely Lavender and Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter Gel together (you can find a tutorial of this technique on the ThermOWeb blog). To finish the card I die cut the word “Happy” out of Poppin’ Pink Enamel attached to White Foam Adhesive.                     * De Bubblegum, Lovely Lavender en Turquoise Sea Glitz Glitter Gel werden met elkaar gemengd (je kan hiervan een tutorial vinden op de ThermOWeb blog).Om de kaart af te maken heb ik het woord "Happy" gestanst uit Poppin 'Pink Enamel bevestigd aan White Foam Adhesive.

For the second card, I  used the same technique by mixing different colors (Brilliant Blue, Turquoise Sea, and White Glitz Glitter Gel) and another stencil. The only difference is that the background has some ink blending instead of a plain background like the first card. This time the Sea Weed made from Screamin’ Green Enamel and White Foam Adhesive pops it off from the background.                     * Voor de tweede kaart heb ik dezelfde techniek gebruikt met enkele andere kleuren (Brilliant Blue, Turquoise Sea en White Glitz Glitter Gel) en ook een ander sjabloon gebruikt. Het enige verschil is dat de achtergrond inkt kreeg in plaats van een effen achtergrond (zoals op de eerste kaart). Deze keer valt het de zeewier, gemaakt van Screamin 'Green Enamel en White Foam Adhesive, extra op in de achtergrond.

NND Release: August 2020 - Fall Roundabout, Paw-tumn Newton and Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set

If yesterday was for the coffee lovers, then today is for the gardeners. Welcome to the second release day from Newton’s Nook Design!                     * Als gisteren vooral voor de koffieliefhebbers was, dan is het vandaag eerder iets voor de tuiniers onder ons. Welkom op de tweede releasedag van Newton's Nook Design!

First of all, we have the "Fall Roundabout" stamp set.                     * Allereerst hebben we de "Fall Roundabout" stempel set.

This set is perfectly sized to fit with the scallop edged circle frame on the Circle Frames Die Set. Thar means it's perfect for creating circle cards or layering a circle onto any card!                     * Deze set heeft het perfecte formaat om de cirkel met kartelrand van de Circle Frames Die Set te passen. Hierdoor is de stempel ideaal om een cirkelkaart of een cirkel-laag aan te brengen op een kaart! 

I like how the circle frame fits a square card. It also fits perfectly into the tree ring stencil.                     * Ik hou ervan hoe de circle frame past een vierkant kaartje. Daarnaast past het ook perfect in de "tree ring" stencil. 

We’re not done for today! We have a super fun fall cat stamp; the "Paw-tumn" Newton Stamp Set.                     * We zijn nog niet klaar voor vandaag! We hebben een superleuke herfstkatten stempel; de "Paw-tumn Newton" Stamp Set.

As always the Newton set is my favorite. I colored the illustrations with ZIG markers (just like the other maps of today).                    * Zoals altijd is de Newton set  mijn favoriet. Ik kleurde de illustraties met ZIG markers (net zoals de andere kaarten van vandaag).

The stamp set fills up the whole card. It's perfect for those who like to color.                    * De stempel set vult heel de kaart op. Het is dus perfect om voor diegene die graag kleuren.

The third product is the handy "Heartfelt Wishes" stamp set.                     * Het derde product is de handige "Heartfelt Wishes" stempelset.

The sentiments on this set are all sized to fit on the die cut banners from the "Banner Trio" die set (not used on this card).                    * De teksten op deze set passen op de banners van de "Banner Trio" snijmal set (niet gebruikt op deze kaart).

There are many words of encouragement appropriate for any difficult moment.                    * Er zitten enorm veel bemoedigende woorden passend voor de moeilijke momenten.
