Mr bacon with a Birthday Cookie

Hello everyone! Today I have two blog posts ready (for the other one you will have to wait a little longer), but here you can already see the card for Jocelijne Design.                * Hallo allemaal!! Vandaag heb ik twee blogposts klaar staan (voor de andere is het nog even wachten), maar hier zien jullie het kaartje voor Jocelijne Design al.

It became a colorful squared card. A cute birthday card with mister bacon and a delicious cookie. Oh yes, before I forget, today we showed that Jocelijne has a new mini-release; the Patooties XL! I can't wait to give you more inspiration.                * Het werd een kleurrijk vierkant kaartje.  Een schattig verjaardagskaartje met mister bacon en een lekker koekje. Oh ja, voor ik het vergeet, vandaag hebben we bekent gemaakt dat Jocelijne een nieuwe minirelease heeft; de Patooties XL! Ik kan niet wachten om jullie meer inspiratie te tonen hiermee.

 

NND Release: April 2021 - Captivated Kittens

Hi there! Today we continue the Newton’s Nook Design release with some new kittens.  These are playing in a garden perfect for spring and summer cards!                         * Vandaag zetten we de release van Newton's Nook Design voort met een aantal nieuwe kittens. Ze spelen in een tuin, perfect voor leuke lente en zomer kaartjes!

First of all I applied Oxide ink to the background (I actually use this ink too little); Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade. Then I went over it with distress ink and yesterday's Petite Clouds stencil.                         * Alleereerst bracht ik Oxide ink aan op de achtergrond (deze inkt gebruik ik eigenlijk te weinig); Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade. Ververolgens ging ik erover met distress inkt en de Petite Clouds stencil van gisteren.

Next I colored the cats again with Copic Markers.                         * Verder kleurde ik opnieuw de poesjes in met Copic Markers.

The stamp set also has super cute messages.One of them I used with siler embossing powder.                         * De stempelset heeft ook super schattige boodshappen. Eentje ervan gebruikte ik met zilver embossingpoeder.

Next I made a square card. On this card I used the larger 'Cloud' stencil, but otherwise I used the same materials.                         * Vervolgens maakte ik een vierkant kaartje. Op deze kaart gebruikte ik de grotere 'Cloud' stencil, maar verder gebruikte ik dezelfde materialen.

NND Release: August 2020 - Batty Newton and Spooky Roundabout Stamp Set

Welcome back to day 3 of the Newton's Nook Design release. We go a bit further in the fall theme of yesterday.                     * Welkom terug op dag 3 van de Newton's Nook Design release. We gaan wat verder in het herfstthema van gisteren.

Let’s start with this purrfect set; Batty Newton.                     * Laten we beginnen met deze purrfect set; Batty Newton.

Every year I look forward to the new Halloween sets. I am not disappointed this year either.                     * Elk jaar kijk ik uit naar de nieuwe Halloween sets. Ook dit jaar ben ik niet teleurgesteld.

This image is also suitable for adding details. Again a nice coloring page.                     * Ook deze afbeelding leent zich er voor om details aan te brengen. Opnieuw een leuke kleurplaat.

To get even more in the Halloween theme, we got this "Spooky Roundabout" stamp set.                     * Om ons nog meer in het Halloween-thema te verdiepen, is er deze "Spooky Roundabout" -stempelset.

The large circle image will fit inside the largest scalloped circle die from the Circle Frames Die Set. All of the words on this set will fit inside the banners from the Banner Trio Die Set.                     * De afbeelding met de grote cirkel past in de grootste geschulpte cirkelstans uit de "Circle Frames" snijmal set. Alle woorden op deze set passen in de banners van de "Banner Trio" snijmal set.

I made a shaker card with the two largest dies from the "Circle Frames" die set. I decided to stamp the illistrations on the transparent, to make the shaker more interesting. The colors that appear behind the ghosts look super nice.                     * Ik maakte met de twee grootste snijmallen van de "Circle Frames" snijmal set een shaker kaart. Ik besloot om de illustraties op de transparant te stempelen, om de shaker interessanter te maken. De kleuren die achter de poken te vevoorschijnkomen zien er super leuk uit.

NND Newsletter Sneak Peek

NND July Release: Day 4

Hi everyone! We are landed on the last release day from Newton's Nook Design. Today we got 4 stamps and dies set ready for you!!!                * Hallo iedereen! We zijn geland op de laatste releasedag van Newton's Nook Design. Vandaag hebben we 4 stempels en snijmallen voor je klaar staan!!!

Let's start with the first stamp set; "Lemon Twist". It's a 4x4 set with coordinating dies.                * Laten we beginnen met de eerste stempel set; "Lemon Twist". Het is een 4x4-set met coördinerende snijmallen.

To be honest, this set is really one of the favorites from the whole release. I colored them with Copic Markers (find more details on the markers I used on my Instagram page).                * Om eerlijk te zijn, is dit echt een van de favorieten set uit de hele release. Ik heb ze ingekleurd met Copic Markers (vind meer informatie over de markers die ik op mijn Instagram-pagina heb gebruikt).

After coloring I did cut out some papers with the "Squared Frames" die set. I did color the background with Distress ink. The card was completed with sequins and twine.                * Na het kleuren heb ik wat papier uitgeknipt met de "Squared Frames" die set. De achtergrond werd ingekleurd met Distress-inkt. De kaart werd met pailletten en touw voltooid.

The second card is made with this new "Newton's Melon" stamps and dies. The size of this set is 2x3.                * De tweede kaart is gemaakt met deze nieuwe "Newton's Melon" stempel en snijmal. De grootte van deze set is 2x3.

I also used the new "Hills & Grass" border stencil. Some of you might saw this on the Newton's Nook Designs blog from Monday, but I started using it here.                * Ik heb ook het nieuwe "Hills & Grass" stencil gebruikt. Sommigen van jullie zagen dit misschien al op maandag via de Newton's Nook Designs blog, maar ik gebruik het hier voor het eerst.

This little melon eating cat is adorable in my opinion! I colored the cat also with Copic Markers and crated the background with Distress ink. Therefor I used the "Landboder" die set as well as the new "Hills & Grass" stencil. Afterwards I used the "Sunscape" stencil to create the sun in the background.                * Deze meloenkat is naar mijn mening super schattig! Ik heb de kat ook met Copic Markers ingekleurd en de achtergrond met Distress-inkt ingekleurd. Daarvoor heb ik zowel de "Landboder" die set als de nieuwe "Hills & Grass" stencil gebruikt. Daarna gebruikte ik de "Sunscape" stencil om de zon op de achtergrond te creëren.

I kept the colors the same for this card; brown red and green. The rest was finished like the card above.                * Ik heb het kleurenchema hetzelfde gehouden voor degehele kaart; bruin rood en groen. De rest was afgewerkt zoals de kaart hierboven.

This funny "Gull Friend" (2x3) stamp set is the third set we reveal today.                * Deze grappige "Gull Friend" (2x3) stempelset is de derde set die we vandaag onthullen.

I also want to show you the new "Clouds" border stencil, because I use it on the card below.                * Ik wil je ook de nieuwe "Clouds" sjabloon laten zien, omdat ik het op de onderstaande kaart gebruik.

The "Clouds" border is so much fun. By using it over and over again, you can create a pretty sky background. I'm so happy Newton's Nook will carry these in their shop.                * Het "Wolken" sjaboon is zo leuk. Door deze te meermaals te gebruiken, kan je een mooie hemelachtergrond maken. Ik ben zo blij dat Newton's Nook deze in hun shop zal hebben.

Also the third card is following the same steps to finish it.                * Ook volgt de derde kaart dezelfde stappen om het te voltooien.

"Shrimp Cocktail" (2x3) is the last set from the July release.                * "Shrimp Cocktail" (2x3) is de laatste set uit de juli-release.

I'm so amazed by how Jennifer (the illustrator and owner from Newton's Nook Design) can create so funny and cute illustrations from ugly critter!                * Ik ben zo verbaasd over hoe Jennifer (de illustrator en eigenaar van Newton's Nook Design) de lelijke dieren tot iets moois en grappig kan maken!

The word "Sheers" (from the "Cocktail Mixer" stamp set) was perfect for these shrimps. I think they look adorable with their drinks.                * Het woord "Sheers" (uit de "Cocktail Mixer" -stempelset) was perfect voor deze garnalen. Ik vind dat ze er schattig uitzien met hun drankjes.
