Making Waterproof Stickers

Hello, today we will be making waterproof stickers for the Printable Cuttable Creatables! 

For this post I’m using a ton of fun designs from PCC:                       * Hallo, vandaag gaan we waterdichte stickers maken voor de Printable Cuttable Creatables!

• Cricut Machine (I’m using a Cricut Maker)                        * Cricut-machine (ik gebruik een Cricut Maker)

Cricut has a new feature for making stickers ‘Create Sticker’ (this feature is on the Beta Version of Cricut Design Space and only accessible for paying persons).                       * Cricut heeft een nieuwe functie voor het maken van stickers 'Sticker Bewerken' (deze functie bevindt zich in de bètaversie van Cricut Design Space en is alleen toegankelijk voor betalende personen).

First you have to select your image and click on 'Create Sticker'. You can find the button on the top.                       * Eerst moet je je afbeelding selecteren en op 'Sticker Bewerken' klikken. Je vindt de knop bovenaan.

You can choose between two options:                       * Je kan kiezen uit twee opties:

• Die Cut Stickers: The Cricut machine will complete cut true all layers of the sticker paper.                       * Gestanste stickers: de Cricut-machine snijdt alle lagen van het stickerpapier uit.
• Kiss Cut Stickers: The Cricut machine will cut with a lighter touch. The top layer is the only thing cut, leaving the liner intact. This is perfect for a Sticker sheet for example for planners.                       * Kiss Cut-stickers: de Cricut-machine snijdt met een lichtere aanraking. De bovenste laag is het enige dat wordt gesneden, waardoor de voering intact blijft. Dit is perfect voor een stickervel voor bijvoorbeeld planners.

For this post I’m using the first option with a custom border from 0,30 cm (0,12 inches).                       * Voor dit bericht gebruik ik de eerste optie met een aangepaste rand van 0,30 cm (0,12 inch).

The sticker paper I’m using is perfect for my Inkjet printer. When the sheet is printed out it’s time to layer the holographic layer on top.                       * Het stickerpapier dat ik gebruik is perfect voor mijn inkjetprinter. Wanneer het vel is afgedrukt, is het tijd om de holografische laag er bovenop te leggen.

What I did wrong!: On the pictures you can see I layered the holographic paper completely on top of the sticker paper. That’s not good. You have to only stick the paper on the illustrations and NEVER COVER UP THE BLACK READING LINES (L-shapes on each corner). Only than Cricut can view where to cut.                       * Wat ik verkeerd heb gedaan!: Op de foto's kun je zien dat ik het holografisch papier volledig op het stickerpapier heb gelegd. Dat is niet goed. Je hoeft alleen het papier op de illustraties te plakken en NOOIT DE ZWARTE LEESLIJNEN (L-vormen op elke hoek) af te dekken. Alleen dan kan Cricut zien waar er moet worden gesneden.

I’m using a little more pressure when cutting the designs (it’s an option you can choose right before your machine starts cutting).                       * Ik oefen wat meer druk uit bij het snijden van de ontwerpen (dit is een optie die je kan kiezen precies voordat je machine begint met snijden).

When it’s finally cut, it’s done!                        * Als het eindelijk is gesneden, is het klaar!

I cannot wait to use these cute stickers on my mug or send them out to friends.                       * Ik kan niet wachten om deze schattige stickers op mijn mok te gebruiken of ze naar vrienden te sturen.

DIY Cookie Jar Gift Idea

Today I’ve a little post for a cute cookie gift idea. I dressed up a cookie jar with the “One Smart Cookie Girl” SVG File and the “Scalloped Hearts Frames Set” FREE SVG Cut Files.                        * Vandaag heb ik een kleine post met een schattig cadeau-idee voor koekjes. Ik heb een koektrommel gedecoreerd met het “One Smart Cookie Girl” SVG-bestand en de “Scalloped Hearts Frames Set” FREE SVG-cut-bestanden.

In Belgium, many university students have exams during this period. Of course they deserve a little encouragement or you can also see this as a small Valentine's gift. Nothing easier than cutting out the layers with your cutting machine and add them in order on a jar.                        * In België hebben veel universiteitsstudenten in deze periode examens. Uiteraard verdienen ze wel een beetje aanmoediging of je kunt dit ook zien als een klein Valentijnscadeautje. Niets makkelijker dan de laagjes uit te snijden met je snijmachine en ze in volgorde op een potje te kleven.

At the top I had to be careful to stick the circle in the middle.                         * Bovenaan moest ik oppassen dat ik de cirkel in het midden plakte.

Last Minute Christmas and New Year Gift or Decoration Idea’s

What I like to do is using an oven mitt to decorate the kitchen.                        * Wat ik graag doe, is een ovenwant gebruiken om de keuken te versieren.

They are also cute to put some gifts in if you have a baker in the family.                        * Ze zijn ook leuk om wat cadeautjes in te doen als je een bakker in de familie hebt.

If you use the oven mitt as a gift, it’s also fun to fill it with a decorative spoon.                        * Als je de ovenwant als cadeau gebruikt, is het ook leuk om hem te vullen met een decoratieve lepel.

Let’s move on to the New Year idea’s. I found this pretty shaker glass/mug in a dollar store. I was Immediately sold!                        * Laten we verder gaan met de nieuwjaarsideeën. Ik vond dit mooie schudglas/mok in de Action. Ik was meteen verkocht!

What could be better that a New Year’s wish on that mug? You can fill the mug with snacks or even a gift card. I’m sure it will be a success anyway.                        * Wat is er mooier dan een nieuwjaarswens op de mok te te plaatsen? Je kunt de mok vullen met snacks of zelfs een cadeaubon. Ik weet zeker dat het in ieder geval een succes wordt.

Sometimes you can also buy cute soaps during celebrations. That’s how I found these soap stars/Christmas ornaments.                        * Soms kun je tijdens feesten ook leuke zeepjes kopen. Zo vond ik deze zeepsterren/kerstbal.

These small, cute gadgets are really great as gifts for your colleague’s. They can even replace a card.                        * Deze kleine, schattige gadgets zijn echt leuk als cadeau voor je collega's. Ze kunnen zelfs een kaart vervangen.

Halloween Trick or Treat Bag Gifts Set

Are you ready for Halloween yet? I am! I have wanted to make some cute DIY Trick or Treat gift Bags with some treats.                        * Ben jij al klaar voor Halloween? Ik alvast wel! Ik wilde een paar leuke DIY Trick or Treat-cadeauzakjes maken met wat lekkers.

I made two different bags for the Printable Cuttable Creatables blog, with a candy can and drink bottle using my Cricut, some inexpensive dollar store supplies and of course the cutest Halloween SVG’s from PCC. In this post I used the SVG's:                         * Ik heb twee verschillende tassen gemaakt voor de Printable Cuttable Creatables blog, met een snoepblikje en een drinkfles gemaakt met mijn Cricut, wat goedkope winkelbenodigdheden en natuurlijk de leukste Halloween SVG's van PCC. In dit bericht heb ik gebruikt:

• ‘Cute Monster Bride Face’
• ‘Happy Halloween’ (Free)
• ‘Put a Spell on You’
• ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’
• ‘Halloween Trick or Treat Wreath’

• ‘Let’s Hang Out Bat’

 

First I decorated the cans and drink bottle (the second image) with vinyl. I changed the orange color to iridescent vinyl.                        *Allereerst heb ik de blikjes en drinkfles (de tweede afbeelding) versierd met vinyl. Ik veranderde de oranje kleur in iriserend vinyl.

The ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’ svg is perfect to fit on a circular lid.                        * De ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’-svg past perfect op een rond deksel.

Of course I wanted to be able to hand out the treats in a bag. PCC has a lot Halloween files. I love the ‘Cute Halloween Faces’ SVG Files Collection, but it’s very difficult to choose between them all. I took the ones that appealed to me the most.                        * Natuurlijk wilde ik de lekkernijen in een zakje kunnen uitdelen. PCC heeft veel Halloween-bestanden. Ik ben dol op de SVG-bestandencollectie ‘Cute Halloween Faces’, maar het is erg moeilijk om tussen allemaal te kiezen. Ik heb degene genomen die mij het meest aanspraken.

For the back I used a sentiment, that I thought matched the face on the front.                        * Voor de achterkant heb ik een tekst gebruikt, waarvan ik dacht dat die bij het gezichtje op de voorkant paste.

I couldn't resist making more. That's why you can see a second set here.                        * Ik kon het niet laten om er nog meer te maken. Daarom zie je hier een tweede set.

Just as I did with the first bottle, I used for the main image a glitter vinyl. Together with the iridescent, it really makes these illustrations pop.                        * Net als bij de eerste fles heb ik voor de hoofdafbeelding een glittervinyl gebruikt. Samen met het iriserende zorgt het ervoor dat deze illustraties er echt uitspringen.

This trick or treat can is adorable.                        * Dit trick or treat-blikje is schattig.

As a final Halloween craft I made another Halloween bag.                        * Als laatste Halloween-knutsel heb ik nog eens een Halloween-tas gemaakt.

I love how these bags turned out, now I just need to decide what we will dress up as!                         * Ik vind het geweldig hoe deze zakjes zijn gemaakt, nu moet ik alleen nog beslissen hoe we ons zullen verkleden!
