Tips for Using Infusible Ink on Wood

Have you ever tried using Cricut Infusible Ink on wood? Well, I will show you how you can do that.                        * Heb je ooit geprobeerd om Cricut Infusible Ink op hout aan te brengen? Wel, vandaag laat ik je zien hoe je dat kan doen. 

Today, I’m using the ‘Take Me to the Ocean’ SVG File from  Printable Cuttable Creatables and Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets.                        *In deze post gebruik ik de 'Take Me to the Ocean' SVG file van  Printable Cuttable Creatables en Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets.

After you’re happy with the size of your design and the color –  load the sheet on a mat (color side up). It’s important to click the 'Mirror' slider on each mat (especially when using text). DO NOT skip this step, or your text will read backward. When you’re ready, load the mat into the machine and cut out the illustration.                        * Nadat je tevreden bent met het formaat van het ontwerp en de kleur, plaatst je het vel op de snijmat (kleurzijde naar boven). Het is belangrijk om op elke mat op de schuifregelaar 'Spiegelen' te klikken (zeker als je tekst gebruikt). Sla deze stap NIET over, anders zal je tekst achterstevoren staan. Wanneer je klaar bent, laadt je de mat in de machine en snijd deze de afbeelding uit.

Be careful not to touch the Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets too much while weeding with your hand this can remove the ink from the sheets.                        * Zorg ervoor dat je de Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets niet te veel aanraakt tijdens 'weeding' van de illustratie. Hierdoor kan de inkt van de vellen vervagen!

Preheat your heat source, I’m using an EasyPress (see the manual of your heat press for the recommended heat and time). Use butcher paper to protect your heat source from the infusible ink. The heat can also cause the ink to end up on your heat source! So use butcher paper! NOTE: Do not move your heat source after you’ve placed it on top of the wood.                        * Verwarm je warmtebron voor, ik gebruik een EasyPress (zie de handleiding van je hittepers voor de aanbevolen hitte en tijd). Gebruik bakpapier om je warmtebron te beschermen tegen de inkt. Ook kan de hitte ervoor zorgen dat de inkt op je warmtebron terecht komt! Gebruik dus bakpapier! OPMERKING: Verplaats je warmtebron niet nadat je deze op het hout hebt geplaatst.

Once completed remove the butcher paper. Let the wood cool for 1-2 minutes before peeling the backing, and now you’re all set!                        * Als je klaar bent, verwijdert je het bakpapier. Laat het hout 1-2 minuten afkoelen voordat je het inktpapier verwijdert, en nu ben je helemaal klaar!

How to Make a Light Box

Hi crafty friends! I decided to create a light box using the “Sleigh All Day” SVG File from Printable Cuttable Creatables.                        * Hallo creatievelingen! Ik besloot een lichtbak te maken met het SVG-bestand "Sleigh All Day" van Printable Cuttable Creatables.

What do you need:                        * Wat heb je nodig:

• A wooden box with open front / Een houten kist met open voorkant.
• Star Foil/3D Foil / Sterfolie/3D-foli
• Mini lights/craft lights / Minilampen/knutsellampen
• A mini wood drill / Een kleine houtboor
• A hot glue gun / Een heet lijmpistool
• Double sided tape / Dubbelzijdige tape
• Tape / Plakband
• A Cutting machine that can cut the “Sleigh All Day” SVG File / Een snijmachine die het SVG-bestand "Sleigh All Day" kan snijden
• Vinyl / Vinyl
• Transfer tape / Transfer tape 

Now onto the tutorial:                        * Nu verder met de tutorial:

1. Drill a hole in the box (or ask your husband like I did). This is a hole through which the lights must go true.                        * Boor een gaatje in de doos (of vraag het aan je man zoals ik deed). Dit is een gaatje waar de lichten doorheen moeten gaan.
2. Push the lights true the hole and glue the battery holder to the back of the box with your glue gun.                        * Duw de lampjes tot in het gaatje en lijm de batterijhouder met je lijmpistool aan de achterkant van de doos.

1. I secured the lights in the box with tape. I also used double sided tape on the edge of the box. The 3D foil is I fastened with the double-sided tape.                        * De lampjes in de doos heb ik met tape vastgemaakt. Ik heb ook dubbelzijdig tape op de rand van de doos gebruikt. De 3D folie heb ik vastgeplakt met die dubbelzijdig tape.
2. 4. As a final step I positioned the design on the 3D foil.                         * Als laatste stap plaatste ik het ontwerp op de 3D-folie.

 The 3D foil ensures that the lights look like stars. It’s super magical! For sure with that Santa in a sleigh on top.                         * De 3D-folie zorgt ervoor dat de lampjes op sterren lijken. Het is supermagisch! Zeker met die Kerstman in een slee er bovenop.

Woodland Fall Decor

 
Hello everyone!! Printable Cuttable Creatables has new fall SVG’s that have cute autumn images colored in as well as a separated file with only the outline of the illustrations. Here I’m using the ‘Sleeping Fox’, ‘Cute Sitting Fox’ and the ‘Cute Woodland Squirrel’ SVG Files.                        * Hallo iedereen!! Printable Cuttable Creatables heeft nieuwe herfst-SVG's met schattige herfstafbeeldingen ingekleurd, evenals een apart bestand met alleen de omtrek van de illustraties. Hier gebruik ik de ‘Sleeping Fox’, ‘Cute Sitting Fox’ en de ‘Cute Woodland Squirrel’ SVG-bestanden.

In Belgium a lot of people wait after December 6th to decorate for Christmas (on Dec. 6 Saint Nicolas is coming). So I wanted to create some fall ornaments.                        * In België wachten veel mensen tot na 6 december om alles te versieren voor Kerstmis (op 6 december komt Sinterklaas). Dus ik wilde wat herfstornamenten maken.

I bought these ornaments in a sort of dollar store. They were already filled with dried flowers. Of course you can easily create this yourself with clear ornaments as well.                        * Ik kocht deze kerstballen in de Action. Ze waren al gevuld met droogbloemen. Natuurlijk kun je dit ook gemakkelijk zelf maken met heldere ornamenten.

I simply added the cute critters on top (they were cut out on copper vinyl). Isn’t it adorable? I love it and hope you try this out!                         * Ik heb er eenvoudigweg de schattige beestjes bovenop geplakt (ze zijn uitgesneden op kopervinyl). Is het niet schattig? 3 Easy and Cute Easter Vinyl Projects

Hello everyone! I'm here with a post for Printable Cuttable Creatables. Today I'm showing you adhesive vinyl Easter projects. So, dust off your Cricut machine, grab a drink and get inspired.                        * Hallo iedereen! Ik ben er vandaag met een post voor Printable Cuttable Creatables. Vandaag laat ik jullie vinyl paasprojecten zien. Dus stof je Cricut-machine af, pak een drankje en laat je inspireren.

In this post I use a lot of lovely bunny svg’s, here is my supplies list: Split Bunny SVG File, Some Bunny Loves You SVG File and Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File.                        * In dit bericht gebruik ik veel leuke svgs van konijntjes, hier is mijn lijst met benodigdheden: Split Bunny SVG File, Some Bunny Loves You SVG File and Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File.

Let me start with these cute gift bags. I simply bought some clear bags (you can find them in craft stores or stores for wedding/baby thank you gifts). I did measure my bags and cut the ‘Split Bunny SVG’ out of white, pink and teal vinyl.                        * Laat ik beginnen met deze schattige cadeauzakjes. Ik heb gewoon een paar doorzichtige zakjes gekocht (je kunt ze vinden in creawinkels of winkels voor bedankjes bij bruiloften / geboortes). Ik heb mijn zakjes opgemeten en de ‘Split Bunny SVG’ uit wit, roze en groenblauw vinyl gesneden.

Afterwards I did add the names between the bunny’s. Next I filled the bags with chocolate easter eggs.                        * Daarna heb ik de namen tussen de konijntjes gezet. Vervolgens vulde ik de zakjes met chocolade paaseitjes.

The svg makes the gift bags super cute and personal! Perfect for your siblings and friends.                        * De svg maakt de cadeauzakjes super schattig en persoonlijk! Perfect voor je broers, zussen en vrienden.

Talking about bunny's we need some carrots too!! I bought clear plastic easter eggs and did fill them up with yellow and orange chocolates. Through the hanging part of the egg I did add 2 green ribbons, so it looked like a the leaves of the carrots.                        * Over konijnen gesproken, we hebben ook wortels nodig!! Ik kocht doorzichtige plastic paaseieren en vulde ze met gele en oranje chocolaatjes. Door het hangende gedeelte van het ei heb ik 2 groene linten getrokken, zodat het net een wortelblad leek.

On top I placed the ‘Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File’ to send out an Easter wish. I simply cut it out of white vinyl.                        * Bovenop plaatste ik het ‘Hoppy Easter Retro Free SVG File’ om een ​​paaswens te versturen. Ik heb het gewoon uit wit vinyl gesneden.

I wasn’t satisfied yet, I had to make something with the cutest bunny svg file ever (the Some Bunny Loves You SVG File). After cutting out all the colored vinyl, you have the images from the PCC website to see how to arrange all elements on the candle. The end results are stunning! It’s such an easy and inexpensive way to spruce up your home decor.                        * Nadat je al het gekleurde vinyl hebt uitgesneden, heb je de afbeeldingen van de PCC-website om te zien hoe je alle elementen op de kaars kunt rangschikken.
