Happy Halloween Card and Treat Bag

Hello friends! Halloween is just around the corner, so it's the perfect time to create some fun Halloween projects.                    * Hallo iedereen! Halloween staat voor de deur, dus het is de ideale moment om leuke Halloween-projecten te maken.

This post is created for Newton's Nook Designs, so you will see a lot of their products represented.                    * Dit bericht is gemaakt voor Newton's Nook Designs, dus je zult veel van hun producten vertegenwoordigd zien.

First I created a treat bag. I used ThermOWeb Glitz Glitter Gel on with the Flying Bat stencil to create the pattern on the bag. For the treats on the tag I used a few elements from different Halloween stamp sets by Newton's Nook.                    * Allereerst maakte ik een traktatiezakje. Hiervoor gebruikte ik ThermOWeb Glitz Glitter Gel met de Flying Bat-stencil. Voor de snoepjes op de tag heb ik een paar kleinere elementen gebruikt uit verschillende Halloween-stempelsets van Newton's Nook.

I started out by coloring the adorable image of the kitty in the bat costume from the Batty Newton Stamp Set. Then I created a purple sky for the bat using distress inks. I added a moon into the sky and  added layers of clouds along the bottom.                    * Ik begon met het inkleuren van de schattige afbeelding van de kat in het vleermuiskostuum uit de Batty Newton Stamp Set. Daarna maakte ik een paarse lucht met distress-inkt. Ik voegde een maan aan de lucht toe en wolken aan de onderkant.

The whole scene is framed by a lime green frame with a scalloped edge that was cut using the Frames & Flags Die Set. This ties in perfectly with the green bat wings!                    * De hele scène wordt omlijst door een limoengroene lijst met een geschulpte rand die is uitgesneden met de Frames & Flags Die Set. Dit sluit perfect aan bij de groene vleermuisvleugels!

I added again ThermOWeb Glitz Glitter Gel with the Flying Bat stencil on top of the envelope flap. I finished the envelope by the adding the name (by cutting out letters and placing them on a ticket shape) and adding the stars and bat.                     * Ik voegde opnieuw de ThermOWeb Glitz Glitter Gel toe bovenop de envelopflap. Ik maakte de envelop af door de naam toe te voegen (de letters werden uitgesneden en op een labelvorm geplakt) en de sterren en vleermuis toe te voegen.

              

 

Letter to Santa with Deco Foil

Hello creative peeps! I'm here again sharing inspiration for ThermOWeb. Every year thousands of children write letters to Santa. This is one of the many fun traditions in the United States; so what’s better than a letter for ‘Santa’ during the ThermOWeb 'Santa' themed week?                     * Hallo creatievelingen! Ik ben hier weer om inspiratie voor ThermOWeb te delen. Elk jaar schrijven duizenden kinderen brieven aan de kerstman. Dit is een van de vele leuke tradities in de Verenigde Staten; dus wat is beter dan een brief voor ‘Santa’ te schrijven tijdens de ThermOWeb kerstman themaweek?

Before we send our special letter to the North Pole let me explain how I made it.                     * Voordat we onze speciale brief naar de Noordpool sturen, wil ik eerst uitleggen hoe ik hem heb gemaakt.

1. I wanted to create an envelope with a card attached in the middle. For that, we need an envelope that fits our card. I used an Envelope Punch Board for this, but you can open a real envelope, trace and cut it out of paper.                     * 1. Ik wilde een envelop maken waarbij er een kaart middenin word gekleefd. Daarvoor hebben we een envelop nodig die de juiste afmetingen heeft. 2. Afterward, I foiled one flap of the envelope. For that, I used Purple Tape, Transfer Gel, the stencil pal, the new ‘Autumn Wishes’ stencil and ‘Glimmer Gold’ foil.                     * 2. I did the same with the Toner Sheet and ‘Sparkling Silver’ foil. Afterward, I die cut the letters ‘Santa’ from it.                     * 3. 6. I created a tag and a card base with a similar background. First I did color the paper with blue Distress Inks. 7. Further, I added different elements. Each time I stamped, inked, and cut the illustrations from the ‘Wishing You Joy’ stamp set. Some of them got extra glitter by using the coordinating stencil and more Glitz Glitter Gell.                     * 7. Verder voegde ik verschillende elementen toe. Elke keer stempelde, inkte en sneed ik de illustraties uit van de "Wishing You Joy" stempelset. This idea with special envelopes that you can open comes from an aerogram. Aerogram letters were made to send out secret messages inside the envelope during the war. This one is just a little different as it’s intended of course for Santa, with a holiday touch on it.                     * Het idee om een speciale enveloppen die je kan openen te gebruiken, komt van een 'aerogram'. Er werden aerogrambrieven gestuurt tijdens de oorlog om geheime boodschappen in de envelop te versturen. Deze brief is een beetje anders en er een creatieve twist aan gegeven.

Of course I wanted to make something in the theme of the hop; give away a small gift. This time I don't give candy but I do give a gift voucher. As you can read, this Valentine snail mail was made to make my mother smile.                 * Natuurlijk wilde ik in thema van de hop iets maken om een klein cadeautje weg te geven. I loved creating the envelope with an envelope punch board. The watercolor paper made sure I have more sturdy envelope. The outside of the envelope is created with stencils, stamps and dies (find the complete supplies list below). The color combination is purple and pink as you can see.                 * Ik vond het super fijn om een envelop te maken met een enveloppe punch board. Het aquarelpapier zorgde ervoor dat ik een stevigere envelop kreeg. De buitenzijde van de envelop is gemaakt met stencils, stempels en matrijzen. De kleurencombinatie is paars en roze zoals je kunt zien.

On the inside there is an accordion card with three panels. I attached the lower panel with glue to the inside of my envelope. On the top panel I made a pull tag so you can see how to open the card. The tag dies from NND are perfect for this!                 * Aan de binnenkant zit een accordeon kaart met drie panelen. Het onderste panneel lijmde ik vast aan de binnenkant van mijn enveloppe. Aan het bovenste paneel maakte lipje waarmee duidelijk is dat je het kaartje kan opentrekken. De tag snijmallen van NND zijn hier perfect voor!

  
Of course, I needed a place to write my message on. Nothing better than ordinary graph paper and the super cute typewriter stamp as a small decoration.                 * Natuurlijk had ik een plaats nodig om mijn boodschap op te schrijven. Niets beter dan gewoon ruitjespapier en de super leuke typemachine stempel als kleine decoratie.

Eventually my mom will be surprised with a gift voucher to buy flowers and a nice message under the giftcard.                 * Uiteindelijk zal mijn mama verrast worden met een cadeaubon om bloemetjes te kopen en een leuke boodschap onder het cadeaukaartje.
