What is Vinyl and a Cute Pencil Case as Example

Hello ‘PCC’ fans. Do you remember my Iron-On Viny blog post? Well today we're turning a spotlight on Vinyl.                        * Hallo ‘PCC’-fans. Herinner je mijn Iron-On Viny-blogpost nog? Vandaag zetten we Vinyl in de spotlight.

The example you see here in this blog post is a cute pencil case made with the ‘You Make Me Whole’ SVG File.                         * Het voorbeeld dat je hier in deze blogpost ziet, is een schattig etui gemaakt met het ‘You Make Me Whole’ SVG-bestand.

Simply put, vinyl is sticker paper. It’s perfect for creating permanent or easily removable labels/designs to create gifts (clipboards, notebooks, buckets, gift bags), home décor, or anything you can think of. Het is perfect om permanente of gemakkelijk verwijderbare labels/ontwerpente maken voor cadeaus (klemborden, notitieboekjes, emmers, cadeauzakjes), decoratie of wat je ook maar kan bedenken. There are different types of vinyl, for example:                        * Er zijn verschillende soorten vinyl, bijvoorbeeld:

• Permanent Vinyl;
• Removable Vinyl;
• Smart Vinyl (you can cut it without a mat on a Cricut Maker 3/Explore 3 machine) / (je kunt het zonder mat snijden met een Cricut Maker 3/Explore 3-machine.)
  Bedrukbaar vinyl (perfect voor het maken van stickers) / (perfect voor het maken van stickers)
• Printable Vinyl (Perfect for making stickers);
• Stencil Vinyl (ideal to use for painting or etching) / (ideaal om te gebruiken voor schilderen of etsen);
• Chalkboard Vinyl;
• Special Vinyl (for example, glitter, holographic, UV or heat sensitive (changing color), glow in the dark, transparent, frosted) / (bijvoorbeeld glitter, holografisch, UV- of warmtegevoelig (veranderende kleur), glow in the dark, transparant, mat)

How does it work? First, you cut out all the pieces you need and weed out all excess vinyl. Next, apply your vinyl to a piece of clear transfer tape. Carefully remove the vinyl by adding it to the transfer tape (the sticky side of the vinyl must be exposed). Apply all layers, starting with the top layer first, and line them up.                        * Hoe werkt het? Eerst knip je alle stukken uit die je nodig hebt en verwijder je al het overtollige vinyl. Breng vervolgens je vinyl aan op een stuk doorzichtige transfertape. Verwijder het vinyl voorzichtig door het aan de transfertape toe te voegen (de plakkerige kant van het vinyl moet zichtbaar zijn). Breng alle lagen aan, begin eerst met de bovenste laag, en lijn ze uit.

Carefully remove the transfer tape by using a scraper. The vinyl will stick to your surface perfectly now. In Belgium, many university students have exams during this period. Of course they deserve a little encouragement or you can also see this as a small Valentine's gift. What could be better that a New Year’s wish on that mug? You can fill the mug with snacks or even a gift card. Sometimes you can also buy cute soaps during celebrations. That’s how I found these soap stars/Christmas ornaments.                        * Soms kun je tijdens feesten ook leuke zeepjes kopen. Zo vond ik deze zeepsterren/kerstbal.

I did used the new Color Sync panel on Cricut so the tags matched colors. Did you know that Cricut Design Space has a Color Sync panel? It helps you to match colors or easily combine colors to reduce the number of different materials you plan to use. You can easily use it by dragging dropping images in the Color Sync panel! So I didn't put it in a photo tutorial simply because it's easy to use. You can make the most beautiful coordinating projects like these tags.                        * Ik heb het nieuwe Color Sync-paneel op Cricut gebruikt, zodat de tags qua kleuren overeenkwamen. Woodland Fall Decor

 
Hello everyone!! Printable Cuttable Creatables has new fall SVG’s that have cute autumn images colored in as well as a separated file with only the outline of the illustrations. Here I’m using the ‘Sleeping Fox’, ‘Cute Sitting Fox’ and the ‘Cute Woodland Squirrel’ SVG Files.                        * Hallo iedereen!! Printable Cuttable Creatables heeft nieuwe herfst-SVG's met schattige herfstafbeeldingen ingekleurd, evenals een apart bestand met alleen de omtrek van de illustraties. Hier gebruik ik de ‘Sleeping Fox’, ‘Cute Sitting Fox’ en de ‘Cute Woodland Squirrel’ SVG-bestanden.

In Belgium a lot of people wait after December 6th to decorate for Christmas (on Dec. 6 Saint Nicolas is coming). So I wanted to create some fall ornaments.                        * In België wachten veel mensen tot na 6 december om alles te versieren voor Kerstmis (op 6 december komt Sinterklaas). Dus ik wilde wat herfstornamenten maken.

I bought these ornaments in a sort of dollar store. They were already filled with dried flowers. Of course you can easily create this yourself with clear ornaments as well.                        * Ik kocht deze kerstballen in de Action. Ze waren al gevuld met droogbloemen. Natuurlijk kun je dit ook gemakkelijk zelf maken met heldere ornamenten.

I simply added the cute critters on top (they were cut out on copper vinyl). Isn’t it adorable? I love it and hope you try this out!                         * Ik heb er eenvoudigweg de schattige beestjes bovenop geplakt (ze zijn uitgesneden op kopervinyl). Is het niet schattig? Halloween Trick or Treat Bag Gifts Set

Are you ready for Halloween yet? I am! I have wanted to make some cute DIY Trick or Treat gift Bags with some treats.                        * Ben jij al klaar voor Halloween? Ik alvast wel! Ik wilde een paar leuke DIY Trick or Treat-cadeauzakjes maken met wat lekkers.

I made two different bags for the Printable Cuttable Creatables blog, with a candy can and drink bottle using my Cricut, some inexpensive dollar store supplies and of course the cutest Halloween SVG’s from PCC. In this post I used the SVG's:                         * Ik heb twee verschillende tassen gemaakt voor de Printable Cuttable Creatables blog, met een snoepblikje en een drinkfles gemaakt met mijn Cricut, wat goedkope winkelbenodigdheden en natuurlijk de leukste Halloween SVG's van PCC. In dit bericht heb ik gebruikt:

• ‘Cute Girl Werewolf Face’
• ‘Cute Monster Bride Face’
• ‘Happy Halloween’ (Free)
• ‘Put a Spell on You’
• ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’
• ‘Halloween Trick or Treat Wreath’
• ‘I’m Just Here for the BOOs’
• ‘Let’s Hang Out Bat’

 

First I decorated the cans and drink bottle (the second image) with vinyl. I changed the orange color to iridescent vinyl.                        *Allereerst heb ik de blikjes en drinkfles (de tweede afbeelding) versierd met vinyl. Ik veranderde de oranje kleur in iriserend vinyl.

The ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’ svg is perfect to fit on a circular lid.                        * De ‘Halloween Ghost Wreath’-svg past perfect op een rond deksel.

Of course I wanted to be able to hand out the treats in a bag. PCC has a lot Halloween files. I love the ‘Cute Halloween Faces’ SVG Files Collection, but it’s very difficult to choose between them all. I took the ones that appealed to me the most.                        * Natuurlijk wilde ik de lekkernijen in een zakje kunnen uitdelen. PCC heeft veel Halloween-bestanden. Ik ben dol op de SVG-bestandencollectie ‘Cute Halloween Faces’, maar het is erg moeilijk om tussen allemaal te kiezen. Ik heb degene genomen die mij het meest aanspraken.

For the back I used a sentiment, that I thought matched the face on the front.                        * Voor de achterkant heb ik een tekst gebruikt, waarvan ik dacht dat die bij het gezichtje op de voorkant paste.

I couldn't resist making more. That's why you can see a second set here.                        * Ik kon het niet laten om er nog meer te maken. Daarom zie je hier een tweede set.

Just as I did with the first bottle, I used for the main image a glitter vinyl. Together with the iridescent, it really makes these illustrations pop.                        * Net als bij de eerste fles heb ik voor de hoofdafbeelding een glittervinyl gebruikt. Samen met het iriserende zorgt het ervoor dat deze illustraties er echt uitspringen.

This trick or treat can is adorable.                        * Dit trick or treat-blikje is schattig.

As a final Halloween craft I made another Halloween bag.                        * Als laatste Halloween-knutsel heb ik nog eens een Halloween-tas gemaakt.

I love how these bags turned out, now I just need to decide what we will dress up as!                         * Ik vind het geweldig hoe deze zakjes zijn gemaakt, nu moet ik alleen nog beslissen hoe we ons zullen verkleden!
